Hello awesome, does this workaround work when we want to calculate the variance from 2 different table by considering the previous month from 2nd table while calculation Eg (current table% column - second table% column) .. Please make a video on this scenario

Interesting approach. We have a similar problem and its time related but not date related. Our fact table of assessment results contains the year and period (Autumn, Spring Summer etc). They want to compare dynamicaly, any period from this year with any from last year. Is it the same pattern or is a different solution required? Great video as always Ruth!

why the measure is not added to the Compare Periods table but to Order Details?

Can we take this technique one level further and have the column name reflect the selection i.e. let's assume the slicer was for calendar month (single select), then instead of just shiwing Sales Period 1 and Sales Period 2 it will show Apr'23 and Jun'22?

You can not change the column names on a table or matrix dynamically, but you can use the subtitles to add the perioods. Updated the file on the download center, check if you are not sure what I mean.
