Compare the Diving and Snorkeling at Vilamendhoo, Maldives 2017

The first half of the video shows diving the house reef, local thilas and giris, the Whale Shark Park (no whale sharks though!) and Manta Ray dive sites. Then there's a couple of minutes of an overnight excursion on the Gomafalu yacht. The video finishes with snorkelling around the house reef. It's an interesting video to compare the diving and the snorkelling at Vilamendhoo. The video was filmed late January, early February.

Amazing video it is so nice at the Maldives it's nice to see all the different species the dolphins are amazing I experience them this year was amazing everyone who goes to the Maldives should do a trip to see them it's a great memory to have

Ian Cooper No, just a hobby along with the diving. I just use a Go Pro 3+ with a red filter, unless I use the lights (Seadragon 2500j, and for macro shots I use a macro attachment. I use Cyberlink Power Director to edit the movie. The snorkelling camera was a Nikon Coolpix A130. Glad that you enjoyed it, I’ve got loads more on my channel!

what sharks were they when you first started diving with the mantas? looked too big to be whitetip reefs but didn't look like they had the right shaped fins for an oceanic.

Anglers and Danglers they were grey reef sharks and the rays just before the sharks were mobula rays, which are smaller and faster moving than the mantas. Later on in the video we snorkelled with a couple of mantas.

Wow - looked really big for grey reefs. We went to Kuramathi a couple of months back - really good house reef there too. Think out of 8 days i was in the water 90% of the time! Unfortunately didn't get a chance to do the Mantas
