Jigsaw! Those zeiss ones are way cooler. Sooo blue! And they really did change color instantly. I just ordered some photo fusion x in extra grey, looking forward to it

Hey Eric - just came across this review on these lenses and your comment as well. Up until today I'd only known about the Transitions Gen S and had been looking at those for my Meta Wayfarer glasses for my Progressive prescription. I'm in Texas as well down in Houston and we definitely deal with heat down here, ha. Can you share any more feedback about how you've found the Zeiss to be better for you? Cheers!

But the Zeiss also cost twice as much as the Esilor. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

The Zeiss blue is so much more striking in my opinion. Only wish you would have shown us how clear they are on white paper before turning blue. Speaking of which, I wish Seemore Better would get rid of that shiny grey head he puts all the glasses on, once he does that cant see the colors or reflections of the lenses on that thing. At least switch to a matte white.

@2Bluzin Thanks for your comment and opinion. Perhaps we can find a white color head or paint the silver one matte white. The lenses of the Zeiss and Essilor are both clear in an inactive state. I thought the Essilor might have a residual tint when inside and it does not. Thanks! Jigsaw

Do the photofusion x come with free Duravision coating by default? Or is coating an extra add-on?

which one gets clear faster and how long does it take?
@freeprescriptionlenses
@freeprescriptionlenses 4 ай бұрын
They are about the same. The length of time will vary on the outdoor temperature and the indoor temperature. If it is Winter and the lenses are super cold it will take longer for them to get clear when going inside. Hope that helps and makes sense.

I may be wrong but I thought that Corning was the first company that developed photochromic lenses back in the day. I actually have a pair of RayBan shooting glasses from the late 70's that have a yellow to brown shift outside. These were glass lenses so maybe that's where my confusion comes from.
@freeprescriptionlenses
@freeprescriptionlenses 4 ай бұрын
You are probably right - Corning and Kodak around the same time and Zeiss... Essilor was behind those 3 for sure.
@parrisgeorge9708
@parrisgeorge9708 4 ай бұрын
@@freeprescriptionlenses it would make sense from a location standpoint. Kodak, Bausch and Lomb in Rochester and Corning are/were all in the same general part of NYS.

Could you do some scratch testing?
@freeprescriptionlenses
@freeprescriptionlenses 4 ай бұрын
Scratch testing? Hmmm probably not today lol. Zeiss DuraVision AR coatings have great scratch protection. On the other hand, Essilor makes nice anti-glare coatings but they are not as robust. They do have Crizal Rock which seems to have the most protection. Thanks for your comment!

Don’t need to compare Photofusion x blue to Sensity 2 blue. Photofusion blue is far too good. Just compare Sensity and Transitions in their bruise blue.
