So happy you used the anthurium stamp. I'd been checking it out this morning cause I love anthuriums. Now I think I understand why so many you tubers emboss their stamps before they watercolor on the canson paper. Great tips , tfs Sandy

Thank you so much for this video. My go to ink was smearing on my watercolor/mixed media paper and I was getting incredibly frustrated. Ink on 3 Blackout detail ink has become my new go to after this. Thank you for also introducing me to their Fade-out No Line Coloring detail ink. I’ve been wanting something like this for a while now!

Great info as always. Handling the water is the hardest part to learn, and the proper paper helps a lot. TFS

I’ve been using Fabriano Studio 25% cotton hot press on stamped images colored with both ink tense pencils and DS or QOR tube watercolors with good results. I’ve been preferring the ink tense pencils just because I’ve been working with small images recently.

Question. Other than art you do for business/work, how do decide what to create each day? It is by medium, inspiration, agenda or something else entirely?
@SandyAllnock13 жыл бұрын
Mostly by what I feel like that day. Keeps the mojo fresh. Some days if I had work stuff keeping me from creating, I get a sudden burst of mojo. So I don’t always mind the drudgery when it gathers up creative momentum I can spend. 🥰

What size brush did you use to paint the leaves?
@SandyAllnock12 жыл бұрын
Hmmm this was a long time back…and it looks like I forgot to list brushes. I’m going to guess a round #12 for leaves this big.

Will fabriano paper act like the Canson?
@SandyAllnock13 жыл бұрын
Some of them-most companies make high and low end papers both. Ie the Canson company makes the Arches brand as well as the XL student paper.

@@SandyAllnock1 i really appreciate this video & comments to know what ink to use and how! Eta just discovered that pigment ink will smear w watercolor (markers) as well.

Distress ink is a dye ink, so wouldn't it soak right into your paper, which would explain why you didn't pick as much up when you went back over it with your water? Distress Oxide is part dye, part pigment, so the pigment ink sits on top of your paper, thus explaining why the color is so much stronger when you add your water.
