This is 63 cfm vs 100cfm. About 37% More airflow from the mytee! For those of you that were curious. You could also go with the cheaper s300h tempo heated mytee and get similar airflow at 97 cfm at around $850 w/ a 1 gal tank
@E85_STI Жыл бұрын
What do you think about the Sandia? My little 2 gallon has the ametek motor 100cfm and a pretty good water lift. I don’t do a lot of detailing right now I bought it for just in case I need it. The thing is the mytee has a huge hose so it needs to have higher suction or two stage motor but let’s say a rug Dr that has a 5 ft hose it will suck more water up that the mytee but it’s a hassle to use due to such a short hose. The 7ft hose is about the length you want for the smaller machines like mine the Sandia 50-2000. If you look at the Kpa of some of the vacuums some have better motors than a higher end up you have to find them. My little cheap rug Dr has an ametek motor in it which is what the professional machines use.

Great perspective on using the Aqua Pro, if you don't have the demand for tons of interiors you don't "need" the Mytee. I have the Aqua Pro and it's been great for me, I may use steam at times to help loosen the stubborn stuff and the AP works great. When time really really matters and you are that busy, then the Mytee or other larger machine is definitely worth the investment.

But best part is when I help dealerships out can go in hard with double everything and be able to leave to do more work dropping trailer there with my crew. Base on experience i "try" to avoid hot or anything with heat on upholstery and car interior in general. You have to remember this things are put together using adhesive (mostly contact cement) from factory and threads and heat weakens these adhesive, which is why a lot of upholstery sag or fall apart during summer season than any other season. Invest your money on the highest water pull extractor you can afford at this time and ur chemicals and air dryers and if you wanna splurge a little bit a good ergonomic handle. And watch and learn hands on on how to do clean up and water extraction. Thats just my 2 cents.

how come high end extractors dont have brushes on the nozzle hose compared to consumer grade extractors? is it because the steam does the equivalent cleaning of a brush?
@DetailGroove3 жыл бұрын
Professionally, you would agitate the fabric first then extract. The brushes on the more affordable units is more of a easy gimmick. If you're going to agitate, you're going to use an actual brush

I do side work for a used car lot which has 30 to 40 cars. With almost all cars coming from the auctions . i am trying to convince them to get the hp 60 spyder and the sapphire wand. For power, time saving labor, quicker drying times, durability, and being able to order parts in the future. From 1 to 10. 10 you completely agree. Spending 1700 plus 600 $2300 to cut down labor and detailing expenses would not only be more efficient but would also help sell cars. For me it is a no brainer. If you have another suggestion. I would like to hear it. They are one of the worst car lots i have ever dealt with. Quick vaccum and wash the outside. Unless it is a big major spot they want it sprayed with a spray bottle and wiped with a rag. Vacuuming this cars are aweful the more i vaccum the more sand comes to the surface.

For what it's worth, I run the Bissel and Numatic fish tail head. On my workshop vacuum (Nilfisk). Both work quite well. But the palm goes entirely to the Bissel fish tail head. It's small, nimble and extremely effective removing every last drop of water. For car work I love the compact size. The Numatic although just slightly bigger is more cumbersome. Price wise they're pretty much the same. Notice I'm talking ONLY of the fish tail head! I'm not a pro user, just a heavy amateur user. ;-)
