As a Tigers supporter I would rather have Travaglia and Shanahan than Lindsay and Hotton. Trainor at 28 is insane. Also I’m really hoping someone like Jagga, Langford or Draper slides to our pick 6. Just dunno about Smilie.

I really do agree with your take on North draft Tauru mate. I'm actually split on the pick 2 discussion of Tauru or FOS. Where Tauru meets the obvious needs of North FOS meets the calibre of talent rolling through the middle. Either choice I am thrilled with and I reckon North #5 goes to whomever our first draft pick will be. As things stand though I am inclined to think North select FOS with pick 2. And try trading into the draft order across both nights. If North do trade pick 2 however, it's a lock on Tauru. So many machinations and manoeuvres to unfold so hopefully North walk away all the more stronger.

I think the one thing Cal did say yesterday was he was not confident (eg. a bit like 2020) due to the evenness of this crop. He’s stated that Berry could go to the Tigers at pick 14 or the Power. Armstrong may even still be there at pick 21. Additionally GWS & Richmond will consider trading one of their picks as well.

Cal's track record is exemplary in picking the first round. He's putting aside where he thinks they should sit, which doesnt align with his rankings, and goes with his intel from the industry on who everyone is going to pick. And its more likely norths f1 gets us back into the top end for Tauru than shuffling back from 2

Assuming North take FOS at 2 and Blues take Draper at 3, then I could see Richmond and Adelaide doing a pick swap involving 4 & 6 (Richmond would also have to cough up pick 23 and get something else back from Adelaide to make it work). Richmond could then slide in to take Langford ahead of Melbourne, with Jagga getting to Adelaide at 6.

Look I don't envy Cal or Dylan, all the work through the year to scout these kids in an even draft and then have a mountain of guess work that has to go in this draft is crazy. As a crows fan I would be thrilled to keep Sid in the state but if he is gone, then happy with Jagga or Finn. All 3 look like excellent talents.

@ if not sid then jagga smith a must. So I put these 2 players before anyone for Richmond’s needs. Lalor to me is our 2nd pick. If it was me my draft and my reasons.. Mate I just hope we get like this 1. Smith/draper 6 smillie/lalor 12 Lindsay 14 Reid/ berry / bo Allen/ taj hotton 21 Jesse datolli 24 shanahan if not there take best ruck man dodson My opinion to why and reasons of this draft pool what we need for correct balance of our rebuild. 1.Got midfielder finds footy and creator or really agile 6.Big bodied Midfielder/half forward possibly can isolate will cause defensive issues. i see this area as there’s a few big body midfielders in this pool. 12. Half back/wing/midfielder steal for pick 12 same sort of role to Jayden short for us but left footer. Might be able to pinch hit in midfield. 14. (Reid/berry/taj hotton) all deadly high football talent. (Bo Allen if want another big bodied midfielder) 21. Datolli cause this be a steal there. Smart footballer gives me a Nathan brown vibe tbh if not available a cooper hynes but that’s if we don’t go bo Allen earlier I feel 2 big body midfielders are more than enough for us now. 24 shanahan key forward if not take best ruckman cause all the other key forwards in my opinion are nothing special.

All the noise over the past few days has been the blues picking Jagga which I find really weird. I wouldn’t complain if we get him as he will be a gun but just feels like Draper and FOS fit our needs a lot more. Interested to see if it is chess moves from us haha.

I feel like if North don't pick Alix Tauru they will regret it later down the track. they need to go a needs over a talented mid, most people have him in the top 10 now anyway, I don't think he is too far off being a top 5 pick. I'm not saying that because I want another highly rated midfielder on the board that could slide to one of our picks, I although would prefer Lalor + another top mid with 6 but would I be unhappy with Tauru/Armstrong at 6? absolutely not. someone will snap him up... I feel inside the top 10. usually the best couple keys do go inside the top 10 of most drafts.

I think for Tigers, main difference would be Travaglia/Lindsay Shanahan/Whitlock Dattoli/Hotton I think Whitlock is closer to shanahan than Dattoli to Hotton

I don’t think Trainor is invited to the first day of the draft which is why cal has him at pick 28 which would be the first pick of night 2. Do you see north doing another trade on the night to secure someone else to go with Tauru because as a north fan I would feel like we would be leaving somewhat empty in such a deep draft.

My tip - Carlton have warmed to Sid Draper and the Crows have warmed to Jagga Smith, therefore Cal has those 2 the wrong way around. As a Tigers man I don’t love Lalor and Smillie as our top 2 picks. Very similar big bull types, we’ve already got Taranto at the club too. Need some more silk so I think FOS and Smillie would be a way better combo

NM want to trade down and pick Tauru. ADE want Draper. CAR want O'Sullivan. I am with you so far. However, I don't understand why CAR are pretending to like Jagga, so ADE stays at 4 for Draper. It doesn't make sense. It's better for CAR if ADE move to 2. CAR should pretend they like Draper instead of Jagga to make ADE move up. I fail to see any great comparative point of difference, however I do commend you for choosing to die on the Tauru for North's pick 2 hill. Most others of your ilk have jumped off that absurdity.
