I agree that LCT are great externally. But when it comes to the stock you are comparing side folder to an under folder. Underfolders by will wobble more than side folders. This is true even among real steel AKs.

@@user-ng8wc7xx5e Legends say that E&L (Emis & Landarms) are made in a real ak factory (Emis). internal of E&L are nicer in many ways than LCT, However, RS parts are harder to adapte on a E&L, and the finish isn't the one used on real soviet ak's. if its for decoration or if you are ready to get your hands dirty take a LCT (they look great and are better finished), if you just want a rifle that works well without having to do any upgrades take a E&L. I have a E&L and i love it looks and feels like the real thing, but if you can get a LCT for the same price; might be worth taking a LCT.

I've got the LCT Ak G-03 NV 2 weeks ago, and after confirming with both Evike and LCT, all the new LCT AK gens come with 6.02mm tight bore barrels. Yes, the hopup is still hit or miss... sometimes they're great out of the box, sometimes not. The motor is to be desired and the lockup on semi-auto is 100% true ( mine locked up this past weekend ). The gearbox internals are pretty solid and it looks like ( at least comparing it to your video images ) the pistons are new, and have full metal teeth, so they should last longer, especially if you downgrade the spring, which 9/10 times you will have to. And lastly the shimming is fantastic, there's practically NO play in a LCT gearbox that I noticed. In short: Great guns, better now than previous gens, and just a few things to change: Downgrade the spring to M100 or M110, change the motor, upgrade the hopup, get like a nice flat hop bucking and hopup from Prometheus. Yeah you'll spend another $100 or so to do all that, but then you'll have a gun that will last longer than you, at least in my opinion. Thanks for the awesome review Eric, keep them coming!

I just hate how uncommon their mags are in my country. Then Cyma maga I finally found on evike, Not sure why I couldn't find them before on there, But then I can't give most of my teammates a ready to use mag and vice versa bc they have the m4 style mag.
@ymran2187
@ymran2187 5 жыл бұрын
@@DYLANJJK94 A lot of CYMA products are marketed under Matrix on Evike; that probably explains why you couldn't find them before. As for not being able to give your teammates a ready-to-use mag, just tell them to switch to AK's. M4's are good for beginners, I think, because of their manual of arms (straight in vs rock-n-lock, easy-to-use safety, etc.), but from what I hear, AK gearboxes are much more durable and break down less.

I bought Cyma AK and my friend bought LCT AK. Now the funny thing was that my Cyma pretty worked out of box and had no wobble what so ever. LCT on the other had had issues with folding stock, it wouldn't lock when you opened it. Also the LCT AK didn't take some mag without modification on the magazine itself. I still have to say that LCT has way nicer build and feel more like gun than Cyma. Cyma was put well together but you can pretty see and feel why it costs less than LCT. Both guns went through the same upgrades: better cylinder and cylinder head, shimming, new greases, new hopup, new barrel. The LCT one still needs it's motor changed while Cyma comes already equipped with neo-motor. In the end the build quality shines in the end with LCT AK. It's just so solid. I have to tighten both pistol grip and fire selector on my Cyma from time to time. There might be simple fix to this but I haven't yet invested time or money to solve that. If you want a gun that does it's job and doesn't blow your bank, get Cyma. If you want more quality, solid gun with that little premium feeling, get LCT.

My experience: I have had a Cyma AK (CM 0.45/AKS-74u) for more than 7 years and used it for about 20 games. Worked and aged well. It was shooting about 420FPS .20g out of the box, so I just downgraded the spring to SP100 and added a hi-torque motor. Stock Hop-up unit is very good. G&P mid-caps are working great with it. It had good piston pneumatic and stock metal ball-bearings spring guide. Bought it because it was cheaper than a VFC and LCT (main alternative AK brands at the time, E&L wasn't existing). I ended-up using it as my main AEG for most games despite having higher-end AEGs in my collection. Overall, very good for the money. I would recommend to change the spring to a weaker to alleviate the gearbox stress thus improving cyclic rate/reactivity and increasing the gearbox lifespan. LCTs are still no slouch, arguably better quality guns.

Daniel O'Donoghue i had multiple issues with mine. Barrel/hopup unit was rotated out of the box and the gearbox shat the bad after a year. I also played in a team with mostly g&g guns and their lifespan was usually a year before something went wrong. Also on rk103 the alu body is some shitty zink compund and breaks at the stock. Dont buy anything else than steel reciever or its irreparable. Generally just stay away from g&g or send it to a mechanic to fix it up early and get ready to fix stupid problems (like the barrel easily coming out of the scar).

Evike has permanent 25% off codes if you know which one I'm talking about, meaning that at any given time nearly every single LCT AK is between $220-265 depending on the model. Compared to the fact that Cymas were once again price hikes and basic CM040s are now $200 there honestly isnt much reason at all to settle for that when you can get the LCT for $20 more.

@Tinitaurus E&L are not the best AK's, VFC are! E&L AK's are not painted, the receiver is 1,5mm thick, (not very realistic, 1,5mm is for milled receiver) LCT, CYMA, VFC have 1mm thick receiver, it's why E&L are heavier than others brand, they are heavier than my real AK!!! It's not because they made real firearms parts/firearms that they are the best looking/best made AK's unfortunately... Emei (E of E&L) making the body of the real QBZ95, if you have this replica from Real Sword, it’s the same real body and it’s pure shit, wobbly, uggly... On my E&L AKM/AK74M i had QC issues, canted front sight, lot of play in the folding stock of my 74M, so E&L, no more! I have 2 VFC AK's, one CYMA and they're nicer than the E&L AK'S, it's my opinion. E&L make good AK's but they're clearly not the more realistic AK'S.

I fixed my CYMA folding stock by slapping a piece of leftover Velcro pad inside to fill the gap - now it’s rock solid and even requires some effort to press folding button. I really like new CYMAs though - CM.077A is a lot of bang for your buck when it comes to externals (replica Zhukov-S stock and Magpul Moe handguard, picatinny rail on dust cover), and they’re surprisingly decent so gradually with time can upgrade internals but they’re not bad out of the box.

Ya my cyma ak 47u was about 430-440 out of the box. It forced me to have to open up an AEG gearbox for the first time and attempt to clip the spring. It was definitely frustrating, but a positive experience. Luckly, I was able to clip the spring once and bring it down to 389 and I didn't have to open it up again lol. I also had to upgrade the motor straight away after it took a dump on me when I was chronoing at its first game. Lastly, a good fix for the loose hopup adjustment slider is to take the screw out and put a little moondog oring (or something similar) on it. Then when you tighten down the screw, it puts a lot more tension on the slider. It worked really well for me.

I'm currently re-painting and re-doing the internals of a 100$ CYMA CM.028U. Out of the box, i've been very happy with it, trigger response is pretty sluggish (w/NiHm 8.4V) but so far very consistent and decent feel. The only downside is the ABS receiver and trunion. That's where the paint comes in. I am confident that with a new hi-torque motor, a 7,4V LiPo, a Perun mosfet, complete piston workout and some grease love that V3 gearbox can do wonders. Really a great project replica.

I went down a slightly different path and got an E&L (ak74n). Internals wise, the gearbox is fantastic, with a QC spring and an actual high torque motor! however it did come shooting 1.8J, which for here in the UK is very illegal. E&L are nice enough to put a certificate with the power of the 10 test shots carried out at the factory in the box so you know how hot it is before rocking up to the field. External wise it's on par or above LCT, with steel and wood where steel and wood should be! the only thing that leaves something to be desired is in the hop and barrel, it has ok range, but nothing to write home about. I'd say E&L are a worthy alternative to the LCT line of guns and at the £250-£350 price range ($300-$450) they're pretty decent value!

Had I gone a more expensive platform, the modernised parts I put in would've hurt my wallet a lot Definitely Cyma are great as cheap starter guns, though depending on the model and what's already provided, also makes a difference on how much you need to work on them. For example, both of my Cyma AKs have a Pico Mosfet installed and running deans, but my CM040D required a new motor and gears to match how fast I can go on semi with my CM045C using 7.4 Lipo. The 045C had a great motor to start with. Both run Guarder hopups but are stock hopup units, still it works great. Big AK fan and glad to have them both.

Very informative! I myself have owned a CYMA AIMS (CM.050) since 2016, and though I haven't used it in every match I've played, it's done me well, though I am planning on upgrading it. I agree with the part about the FPS, because mine does about 360 FPS with .28 gram pellets. I have also been considering an LCT AKM and am glad that I watched this video because I'd hate to bring it to the field and be unable to use it due to excessive firepower. All in all, well done!

Lct hop ups are not garbage but they are hit or miss. My LCT MS-MG had mediocre accuracy and range but my LCT RPK shoots 250ft stock. What weird is that my LCT pp-19 shoots just as good as my LCT RPK.

Lol ive got "the one". Bone stock LCT RPK74MN. I just got it as my first support weapon (after watching too many alfonse videos), ran a whole 2500 round drum through it, then took it to the field to chrono expecting >400 fps with .25s like my lct tk104, but it shot ~360 with .25s. I guess running a whole drum mag is the trick lol

@MN Airsoft I love it. Aside from the usual LCT grips like subpar motor, hopup, and no quick change spring. Range is great, externals are great. Rate of fire is not horrible. The bipod is kind of a pain to deploy so I plan on removing it and putting an aftermarket one on eventually (this might just be a personal grip, I prefer my guns to be stupid simple to deploy). Also my cleaning rod wasn't secured when I got it so I lost the cleaning rod on my first time out with it (it gives it a weathered Somali pirate rpk look I guess). Again, its an LCT, so everything that can move on the gun is nice and stiff. overall, its a much better out of the box gun then my teammates A&K mk46. Externals are way better then my echo1/cyma redstar ak. Just dont expect the same stock rate of fire and trigger response as a krytac or other high end M4, since Airsoft AKs are stuck in the past. She's a fun beast to run go for it.

Imo, if you just want an ak, cyma. If you want more realism, lct or e&l. The problem with ak's is you only get realism with higher price tags unlike m4's where you get things like mosfets, better hopups, better wiring, better motors,replace Chinese gun greese, etc. Even some beginner m4's have high torque motors, quick change spring systems, rotary hopups, tight bore barrels, silver wires and even toolless motor access all on the same gun. Me personally, i prefer to upgrade over time.

You absolutely hit the nail on the head with this one. Cyma motors are sometimes better than lct's since a good bit of them have strong magnets but shitty armatures. They can give good trigger response on an 11.1v. lct motors are absolutely garbage. Cyma hop up units work very very well with a little bit of tweaking. Lct hop up units can work fine but in cases with the vss and as val they need to be replaced due to how much they flex when you insert a mag. Bucking and barrel for both guns are not great by any means. The lct does come with a tight bore which is one of the reasons they shoot so hot out of the box. I'd also like to add LCT pistons are actually really good in my experience but you have to glue in or epoxy the steel rack to get any sort of long term durability out of them just like shs pistons. LCT also usually have near perfect gearbox air seal so nothing really needs replacing there. Cyma's have meh to no air seal a lot of the times. Overall i feel like lct needs less work to make great, but you are still mostly paying for the externals.

i own both an LCT and a CYMA Ak and both are great. Ive had gearbox issues on the LCT but thats probably becaus ive used it longer. the only difference is that LCTs are a bit more durable and made from more strong materials, thus their higher price. CYMA rifles are an excelent cheap alternative that doesnt lag behind!

First off, my CYMA (cm.040j) has none of the stock wobbliness issues or the paint chipping. Secondly, it performs nearly as good as my buddy's LCT that cost 150-nearly 200 dollars more. Thirdly, does it really matter if the trunnion or sight tower aren't steel? like really? Everything that you touch and beat up is all steel. Fourthly, I've run THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of rounds through my Cyma and i've never faced any internal issues (all i did was swap out the motor like you said and changed the innerbarrel). I've had this gun for 4 years and it's still holding very strongly. I agree with you for the most part but i feel you are calling out Cyma for no reason

When buying a Cyma it really depends on the model. I bought myself the Cyma cm.077A with the zhukov stock and handguard. I payed ~ 180 € and this was an absolut steal for the rifle. The weapon is rock solid. There is zero wobble in the stock and in the last year it had never failed me. So I can really recommend that model. I've Used both Cyma and LCT, and this is the conclusion I've come to, Cyma and LCT, when it comes to Stamped Steel, are very good Quality, Cyma and LCT have Robust Gearboxes, it actually comes down to better Quality, on the Level of Stock gearboxes, LCT Wins, Cyma has Pot Metal Gears, Polymer Piston with Polymer Teeth, LCT has Steel Gears, Steel Tooth Piston, and when it comes to Exterior, Cyma's Rattle, LCT do not, it Boils down to Quality, if You are willing to Pay more, then its LCT, if You are Looking for a good Entry level Weapon, then Cyma, and Upgrading, then both are Relatively the Same on getting better Parts, Longevity vs Price.

The number for the ak-100 series matter because the 102 takes 5.56x45 ammunition while the ak 101 takes 5.56 nato rounds (the same round the m4 uses as an example). Just like how you like trades on your Glock that shows the round it takes, you want to know what round your airsoft gun take (only if your into the immersion part of airsoft)

You don't need a 250$ gun for casual airsoft games. I think cyma aks are the best and cheapest. But i can see why someone would want a more expensive gun for milsim or real tac because you want the feeling of a real fire arm. But still i dont recomend very expensive aks. Aks need to be very simple and reliable.

Great video! By the way, the part you are calling a"trunion" in this video is actually a rear sight base. The trunions (front and rear) are hardened milled steel blocks that the stamped reciever is riveted to. In assembly, the rear sight base and gas block are pressed onto the barrel, then the barrel into the front trunion in the reciever (order of operations can differ). Just thought I'd share some technical information, from one AK fan to another.
