To tie it up I believe they are both equally great on ignition. The force fx saber is so insanely smooth and looks great but the side blades are just ignored in the pure awesomeness that the legacy saber carries amazingely. So Disney saber, dramatic and good sequence, force FX smooth and realistic

One thing I would like to note on the Legacy cost is yes it is $150 but for people that don’t live close to Disneyland or Disney World have to factor in traveling cost plus the tickets to get into the park just to buy it which brings the price up. The elite version you can just buy on amazon and have it shipped to your house. I have both and they’re super badass. Definitely can’t go wrong with either!

I’ve seen soo many videos of both. My opinion is If you were gonna use it as like a decoration or like to have it in your room I would go with FX since it’s easier to display. If you are gonna buy a lightsaber to use for cosplay or even battling with it I would definitely buy a Legacy; it has a more Movie accurate look and even activation effect(top blade then smaller, since the cross guard is for energy distribution for a broken crystal in canon) I own the legacy and have been using it to duel anytime I can with full contact and full force swings and the only damage is a small scratch from the edge of my brothers lightsaber hilt. Plus if you do damage your blade it’s easier to buy a extra blade from Disney then finding one from a used FX. Both are insanely cool and look amazing so go with whichever. Also for cosplayers, I’ve looked into blade covers that gives it that hardcore unstable look and most only can go on the Legacy.

I would give a point to the legacy lightsaber cause it's activation is more accurate the main blade fulls activates then the cross gaurd blades ignite, the force fx turns them all on at the same time

The force fx is more accurate actually. When upright, all the blades ignite at once, like its supposed to. But when you angle it down, the lightsaber switches to the staggered ignition where the main blade ignites and then the vent blades.

Collecting figures then u dont know anything about the kylo’s lightsaber. They aint crossguards those are exhaust blades, which are the energy from the main blade, it’s like vents. The only times the main blade turns on then the vents are in tfa when kylos angry because he didnt have bb8 and the map and smash stuff around and in the trailer of tfa. Most other times are everything turns on the same time. Kylo wouldnt dare to take 3 kyber crystals and “bleed” them and fail all 3 times so the kybers crack (well according to legends or canon idk really remember but there are no red kyber as the force does not serve the dark side so the sith or rens or some dark side dudes gotta do whats called “bleed” which makes the kyber red, kylo got distracted and failed, thats why the kyber cracks), which is a con for the force fx. But otherwise, it’s waay better than the legacy, beautiful fx, ignitions, that flicker is so true, better sensitivity, but cost a lot more

The saber Hiltz feel super heavy duty! And the staff at Star Wars land explain to me that they are actually designed for light sparring. Which is why the blade has a very small wiggle inside the hilt to absorb some of the “force” of dueling. No pun intendid. 😆 Thanks so much for watching, more daber hijinx to come.

So firstly the hilts are definitely upside down the whole video. Secondly, the biggest complaint I see is how the Elite Saber doesn't "sound like Kylo's ignition". If anyone watched The Last Jedi, its the same ignition in the battle against Luke on Crait. As well as the ignition and shutdown on the Elite is definitely more smooth than the legacy. The middle blade is also brighter on the Elite. I believe people actually missed a few important details in my opinion

Dude... Kev... that’s a tough question!! For me, I must be able to battle with my kids and I don’t want to be afraid to break the blade. The elite force FX is freaking awesome, but the replacement blades on the legacy personally win me over. Which one are you leaning towards?

@@FindingTheForce I found the Elite on sale at target so I went for that. The blade details and the stand look sick. But I think the legacy saber actually looks better (being black and more worn looking) and like you said the replacement blades are such a nice option to have. My saber should be here by the weekend so I'll get to dink with a little bit but if I'm not super sold on it ill return it and get a legacy. I hear the elites have blade and connection issues after a few months. On an unrelated side note: dude keep making these videos. They're a breath of fresh air on this negativity soaked marketplace that is KZbin and they're just fun to watch. Have a great day and keep up the good work.

If you compare the original 2015 saber to either of the new ones, the blade is more brighter on the elite fx saber.

Hey, great video, nice to do that with your son! I was wondering, the authenticity of the Legacy is winning me over, is there any wiggle in either blade over the other? I'd have to buy from third party for Legacy, and what blade length would I need to buy? I don't plan to duel or anything, just mess around and swing. I like the Belt Clip as well.

As far as the effects, the forxe fx doesnt sound like Kylo's but as Darth Vaders' and also there is no delay for the small blades to be ignited, The visual main blade is flickering like the Legacy's and not just light that flow to up direction.I prefer legacy one is still much closer to the original one from the movie, but i will still wait just in case Disney desides to make a new one with POINTED, UNSTABLE blades and not that usual blade that every lightsaber has. Nice video though and I hope you enjoy you and your son both of these Lightsaber every day :D

Hey Phoenix!! You are a very detailed eye for lightsabers. I totally agree! The new Force FX Elite has some neat effects, but the Legacy is more accurate. Keep an eye out for a video we are going to make soon on some Kylo blade covers! They will knock your socks off!

How long is the lightsaber blade for the legacy Kylo Ren? Is it the 36 inch? Is it longer than the Force FX one?

jomoral127 I believe the blade length for the force FX was 32 inches. So to make a fair comparison I used the 31 inch blade from Savvis workshop. At galaxies edge you can also buy a blade that is 26 and 36 inches. 👍🏻 The 36 inch blade is definitely the most fun.

Also not sure if you knew but if you half it at a 45 Degree down it does a stagers ignition but if you hold it at a 45 degree angle up the blades ignite at the same time.

@@FindingTheForce They are not way more accurate at all. They are not Replicas. They are however far more durable and brighter blades. I would recommend trying them but really, if you're going to spend that much, might aswell get a custom saber smith to make you something for far better quality of electronics than ultrasabers or saberforge.

Hey Nand! If there's one thing I know about Hasbro it's that they are full of surprises! Darth Revan saber is coming out soon, from like a random old video game like years ago! lol Who knows what they are going to come up with next. I personally think the Kylo Ren elite saber is a really great buy. The only tiny area it lacks is that it does not have the swing sensitivity that the older model does. I guess it's a trade off for all of the fancy lava and blaster effects.
