Comparing Generals: Pallas - The Queen of Siege?

Looking at the latest siege general to Evony - Pallas to see how good she is and how well she matches up to other popular siege generals.

Great informative video, thank you! One information I would add is that both new gens basic skills are active when "leading the army to attack", which means that to rein a keep or hold a building, they are not the best (Teach actually has the edge)! To get versatility and be able to attack/rein/hold buildings, we could think about a combo made of Pallas and Tech since they both match!

Thank you 😊🙏 Yeah, you are right, I didn’t emphasize that part too much. I’m one of those that thinks that one shouldn’t focus too much on considerations of reinforcing when choosing generals, and I have my reasons for that 😇 But if that’s something that is important for the style you play, then it’s definitely a valid point 👍

HP is incredibly underrated when you consider that troops that are not completely killed off, will attack in the next round of battle. Larger HP = second chance for attack = extra kills.

another great video. thanks for including the combo list. besides march size, the combo list of a general is a major factor if one should bother with them. I never liked that some of the strongest premium generals have such limited amount of generals they will combo with.

Aka, despite my best efforts, i have not seen a video on people speaking of famous sub cities in some time, and the videos i do see do not show examples i am curious about. I know that basic buffs can stack with specific attacking buffs or in-city buffs in most cases. But the way some of these famous sub cities have their buffs written with some basic buffs and some attacking buffs, i am uncertain if they add together or if they do not. BadStoryDan has several of them, but he's not responding much to me.

Yeah, because they are largely for very big coiners, there’s not much content out on them. 😅 I know there are limitations to how the buffs stack for those subs. Some of them can only be stacked 3 times, and since (apparently) you are limited to the number of famous historic subs you can have, it would mean that multiple players in the alliance will have the same type of sub. You would need to check the description of the subs fully to be clear on that. I’ll take note of it and maybe do a video on it sometime 👌

Hi 🙂👋 Glad to know that you are finding the videos helpful ☺️ Yue Fei... 🤔 If you are using him as a mounted general, then there are many options available. He is compatible with a lot of generals. 👍 I use him as my 3rd mounted general for bosses and I use Roland as his assistant 👌. If you are using Yue Fei as a ground general, then Trajan or Maeda Toshie will be good options 👌

Aka... I really enjoy and learn from your videos. I am not a big coiner. Maybe 20.00 / month now, and I want to reduce that now that I can obtain most of the things I need to grow. I put very little into the new event (ending in 4 days now).. and I spun the wheel I believe 48 times. Plus one of the other events, which involved nothing but viewing the story line, surprised me when a chest opened and I received Pallas. Then I received KLEOS, actually a trunk with 3 choices for a general (Holy Yadirah Gener Chest). My choices for general are: Kleos, Eleanor (who I already have), and Alessandra. My naive thinking is that I have a great siege general now, why do I need another one? Plus Alessandra is who is 'S' Rank for Ground PvP. So the choice comes down to those two, and I was hoping to find out what you think? I do need a good Ground PvP general, and I do have a couple of 'A' ranked I believe.... but no-one at 'S'. (Rankings are from One Chilled Gamer web site). I hope to hear back from you. Sorry, the event is the Heavenly Fire Ceremony, which I'm sure you know.

Hi 👋 and thank you 😊🙏 Regarding the choice you have, I think it’d come down to which general you want more. Both Alessandra and Kleos are not easy generals to get, but which of them would you get more use out of? My assumption is that you are not quite yet at the point where siege attacks are a big part of your offensive game (I might be wrong 😅). In which case, you can wait a bit to complete your siege combo (main + assistant), and get Alessandra right now. Alessandra is a great ground general, but better used as an assistant. So the key here is who will you be using as your main general?

You have to mention that teach is no marching general in main and AND red stars so he works great for reinforcements and no on the other ones can do that

Thank you 😊🙏 Think of HP as the life guage/bar of your troops. The more HP you have, the longer your troops can stay fighting. The importance of HP is different for the different troops. For Siege troops in particular, HP is quite helpful and important

hey aka, important note, just activating the costume is enough, when the costume is activated, you get the same buffs for all siege machine generals, using the general is not mandatory, you should remind that.

I didnt do any actual figures but isnt 125% HP buff double their HP plus another 25%. Like 100% of 100 is 100 extra health. And 25% of 100 is 25 hp. So a 100 hp turns into 225hp? I think that alone might win. The attack is a little lower but is the extra attack enough to kill 1 troop 2.25 times. Just wondering.

Yeah, the percentage buffs work like that, but then you’d have to compare the actual hit points values. There are also other factors to consider: troop type; tiers, debuffs for example
