I've got Trajan main and Scipio assistant... it just worked out like that... not going to bust out cultivating and enhancing a new combo... it works so far for what I can deal with... only K34 now.... bur I think tech in the academy is more important than generals for now

I look at Soult as an upgraded version of Trajan and as a consequence have chosen to pair him with Cyrus the Great for purposes of PvP. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of HAVOC they can unleash together.

Naomasa actually pairs up as an assistant with Roland as a Main. For monster hunting, you can throw the mounted versus monster books on Naomasa and the pairing with Roland is compatible.

As long as Roland doesn't have the basic mounted attack book. That book is not compatible with Naomasa. As Red mentioned in his discussion.

Originally I was hoping to use Naomasa as an assistant to Martinus, but alas, they are incompatible. However, I’m fairly Mount Heavy, and after my four Attack Generals, my top cultivated guy is Gnarr. I wanna like Gnarr, he’s badass looking an’ all, but apparently the mixed march game isn’t where it’s at, or I simply have failed to build it correctly. Regardless, I’ve actually been considering using Naomasa in his place to lead my secondary Cav March. My reasoning is that he doesn’t lose much power at all when he’s defending, reinforcing, occupying…and he’s built for toughness. So it might be a good March to send into buildings for instance…I’d pair him with another two-way General, like Sun Ce…

I am using Theodora with Custer as the assistant. I throw the March size skill book on Custer as well which gives me a 22% buff on march size. It was hard for me to find a good mounted general to go with Theodora because I have both Mounted troop attack and Mounter Troop attack against monster skill books on her already. Those two skill books often cancels out the main skill book with mounted troop buff on the assistant.

Maeda is the same type as elise, or scipio... You can match up with scoult within put g.attack skillbooks but it's still great matching Scoult is still better gens as main ... because red stars and Specialities offer more, same the way like martinus😊

I keep picking up Elektra fragments from the relic rewards, but the other generals I just collected enough to have a single copy. Good thing I have an option of a ground general when I want to get one, though.

Hi all. great video. the generals in the relics are mostly assistants for tavern generals. exception is Electra. Electra is still one of the top range generals a f2p can own. Did you know Electra is the most gold expensive general in the tavern at 90m. Followed by Martinus at 80 million. QJ is the lowest price at 21m. Most of the paywall generals are 60m. Roland is strong but his combo limits him. He cannot combo with any of the top 3 mounted generals. But Hannibal + Roland w/ bird of hurricane for monster hunting is a great combo. Have Martinus + Custer for PVP with a dragon.

Hi 🙂👋 I’m very glad to hear that the channel has been helpful to you ☺️ The thing with spirit beasts is that they are largely used in situations where you don’t have a dragon. Dragons are considerably better than spirit beasts, but not easy to get 😅 You need to match the spirit beasts skills to the general you are using. For example, if you have a mounted general, you’d want a spirit beast with mounted troop stats like the Bird of Hurricane or Pegasus. Something like that 😉👌 Once you have dragons on all your main/important generals, then the need for spirit beasts reduces. However, for spirit beasts that have debuffs, they are still useful when attached to a sub city mayor 👌

Hi Aka, I love your advice and videos.May I rack your brain please? THE CONUNDRUM = I have not yet made a pvp mount combination. I recently was gifted Poligenus by Helen and he pairs with Custer. I have many Roland fragments but have also now accumulated close to 200 Custer fragments in relics. Rolands best match I think is maxamillion or Zhao (I have both). I am not sure if I should do Roland combination or if I should go for the Custer combination. I have saved up on all I would need to do either of these combinations to the max. I am also not in the biggest hurry to get my mount pvp going. what are your thoughts? :)

Hi 👋 and thanks 😊🙏 Hmmm, that’s a tough one 🤔 As a main general, Custer will give you slightly better buffs, but Roland will give you more march size. Either Custer or Roland would be a decent choice. The Custer combo with Poligenus sounds cool. The Roland combo with Zhao is also very good. I use that combo for monster killing, but with Zhao as main. Be sure though to check their compatibility with all the skill books. Honestly, imo you won’t go wrong with either choice. So what I usually advise in situations like this is to pick the one you prefer. Would you prefer using and seeing Custer/Poligenus everytime? Or would you prefer using and seeing Roland/Zhao? 😇 Or you could do what I do and have 1 set for monsters and 1 set for PvP 👌 (My PvP combo is Hannibal/Sun Ce)

RedEvony, I am curious about comparison with Elektra, Tomyris, and Alfred. When they are fully ascended, Tomyris seems better than Alfred. They have the same attack buff, but Tomyris has higher HP and march size. Elektra is slightly better than Tomyris in terms of attack and march size, but Tomyris has much higher HP. My calculation is Elektra (A: 126, HP: 20, D: 50, Marchsize: 16), Tomyris (A: 120, HP: 85, D: 30, MarchSize: 14), Alfred: (A: 120, HP:40, D: 40, Marchsize: 6).

They are all fairly decent generals, not quite as good as some of the newer ones, but still good enough. So whichever you pick wouldn’t be much of an issue. 👌 As for Tomyris, because of the rally capacity that she has, she’s seen more as a specialist general. That means that only people that really need that skill would want to use her. If you are the rally setter in your alliance, for example, then it would be ok to use Tomyris. However, since you get most of that ability from her main skill and specialties, she’s mostly used as an assistant. So if you want to use her, there nothing wrong with that. Just that most people may not get the full benefit of having her, so might be better to look for a different general 😇 Also, you’d have to check her compatibility for assistants

Fascinating to know would be if I can send troops to relicts without generals (will it make a big difference?) and how long the troops have to stay inside a relic to get the most "offer tribute" and "historic general fragments" !!! Is it really just the longer you stay the more chances and fragments you get ? You know evony, would not wonder if there is a trick like "send for 1 day (24h) and you get more often rewards like "offer tribute" and "historic general fragments"

PS: there is a big problem with ground troop and the attack skill book and at that moment it's not clear at all what skill books to use for the assistant, the only one that makes sense is march size. what skill books would you use for an attack ground troop for the assistant?

Hi 👋 Yes, you can send troops to relics without a general if you want. I haven’t done much testing to know whether the general makes a difference, or by how much, but for reference, I always send my troops with a general 👌 The general or troops you send will have no impact on the amount of tributes or general fragments you can get. What they will impact is the amount of relic slates and hammers that you get, which you need to open the relic chamber. The proven ways I know of to increase the amount of slates and hammers you get are: 1. Do higher level relics. The higher the level, the more slates and hammers you’ll get. Mysterious relics give the most. 2. Complete the relic research in the academy for the types of relics you will be doing. For reference, I only do mysterious relics and I have maxed out my research for that in the academy 👌

For ground, the skill books you need are Ground Attack, Ground Defense, Ground HP, Ground Speed and March Size. For the 6th book, you can pick any other skill book of your choosing 👌

Can someone help me plz? I noticed that we can have more champions. I can't find a button to change the champions (to select them one by one to be able to use them). Does that mean the champions' bonuses are active at the same time and I get all the bonuses from all the champions combined at once?

There are 2 small golden arrows around the middle of the left and right hand sides of the screen that you can use to switch between champions. There is also a small icon at the bottom right hand side, that looks like 2 green arrows rotating, which you can use to select the champion you want to switch to. Once unlocked, all champions’ skills are active at the same time 👌

That’s fine. A lot of the generals there are needed for the General Hall, so you’d need to get quite a few of them at least once. There are always new generals coming out, so it’s not unusual to change generals whenever you get a better one (depending on your circumstance though it might not be recommended). As for Elektra or Douglas, Elektra is much easier to ascend as her fragments are available in the relics, so a lot of people use Elektra. She’s also a decent general. Unfortunately I can’t cover all the generals in the tavern 😅

I have Ludwig and Elise but, I'm using Scipio with Soult because I don't have a dragon. Are Ludwig and Elise worth it without a dragon? I'm only K33 no SVS wings. Server 420. My server is full of K40s and 2 K45's I dunno if I'll ever get wings.

You need a dragon with those 2 (Ludwig & Elise). Otherwise, I’d say just stick with Scipio. One option you could do is to use one of the pasture dragons for your ground general. But it’d be best if you could unlock your Wonder and use the blue dragon there. Might be tough with all those big players, but keep hope. It’s not impossible, just need all your “stars” aligned at the right time 😇

I pair Hannibal with Ceaser... put a mounted VS monster hp book, dmg mounted book, and mounted VS monster dmg book.... works out good so far... I use Hannibal with Fafnir as my cav general for now... and same like you, no one cares about the Mayan event on my server either I usually place at least top 5

Patience and Persistence 😅 After playing for a while, you get ideas of where the higher level pyramids spawn and at what times. Also, most of those players are fully focused on pyramids. No rallies or anything like that 😅😅

Why are ground/mounted/ranged/siege troops and their leading generals important when it comes to relic exploring? Aka, I didn't hear you explained exactly why have you mentioned all these generals. Relic is a place where your generals are exploring it. It is not the offence/defence strategy. Generals such as Princess Lucy, Constance and other resource gathering generals might be a better choice. Am I missing something?

Conrad is a good Ranged general. However, he MUST be the main general in order for his effect to activate. I've found that he pairs well with one of the classic generals. A fellow by the name of Khalid. Might be worth looking into. 😉

I can guarantee you that Soult can't take the ground attack book. I was testing this just earlier today. I paired up Soult as my main (was already built up) with Maeda as my assistant. When I had the ground attack book on Maeda, Soult cancelled it. I tried to reverse the pairing and Soult's main skill was not active

Have to say this is one of the weakest videos this channel has released in a long time and that Red Evony is normally much better than this. This video explains very little about what makes any of these generals good (or less good). No comparison of stats, base skill, specialties, or ascension with previously leading f2p options. Just some examples of information missing from the ground section: Soult is like Trajan in that his buffs work as wall general and when reinforcing, but he cannot take an attack book, the same problem as Ii Naomasa. That means that Trajan with atk book actually has more atk than him from skills and also has more HP without skillbooks. As for Maeda, he has similar compatibilities to Scipio with one quirk - only Scipio pairs with Yue Fei (source: Evony Guide Wiki). As for Tomyris, as far as I can tell she's like Elektra except doesn't need a dragon, has rally capacity as a bonus, and takes all her march size buff from the third ascension instead of having some of it in the specialty. Also her compatabilities are significantly different from Elektra's; she doesn't work with Alfred or Gnarr.

@@RedEvony I thought it was meant to answer "which relic generals should I (or someone I know) aim for" or "who are the best among the relic generals", and we can't come up with a practical answer to either question without considering competitors.
