I think the trunk is definitely nicer than last year's advent calendar. However, the button badges really cheapen everything for me. I wouldn't spend my money on them. Curious to see the next ones!

The square little clasps are charm spacers!! They’re pretty useful to avoid that they fall every time you take the bracelet off or if just want to put your charms in little “sections”🤣

I have mixed feelings on this one. The charms and keychains are really cool but the cheapness of the button badges and some similar repetitive items bring it down for me. Still might be worth it for the keychains though.

As much as I love the beautiful keychains and bookmarks, I think that the bracelet with the charms was a better idea overall. Sure, you get smaller items, but on the other hand you don't get so many button badges, which are honestly so disappointing. Maybe they are meant for the youngest family members so that they can get something to wear from the calendar, but if it is an individual present for an older person (which the jewelry theme suggests), this person might not be happy with these button badges. So yes, I prefer the bracelet, it looks really pretty when it is complete.

Why would this be aimed at an older person just because it’s jewellery? Children love to wear jewellery too. Also although you don’t like them there are other people who like pin badges. I would love to get the button badges too

@@sodorflubbs5000 I meant very young children for whom small jewelry items and pins may still be a choking hazard (and very easy to lose) but who nevertheless want to have their own small present from the calendar. Not pre-teens and teens who I'm sure would love these jewelry items. Also I think pin badges are perfectly OK for any age (just a matter of taste), I just think the price point is too high to have so many of them in a calendar like this (I mean the 2020 one, this year's one is just fine).

I lost my grandmother and all though she wasn't the Christmas elf we would always spend Christmas with her cause none of my other family members come out to see us. And it's been almost 2 years sence I lost her in 2019 on Christmas eve due to cancer. I hope you enjoy Christmas and my you have a happy New Year. May we meet again.

I think both calendars skirt the edge of being worth the cost, but for bracelet fans I think that one has more useable options. Dangling charms can also be worn on the chain necklace! Not a fan of the button badges fillers either.

I would prefer the trunk. It would be so cool to add all those charms one by one to the bracelet. The time-turner and the love potion were my favourite. I love your background, it helps to get in the christmas spirit!

FYI those metal buttom pins make great tie & scarf pins. The key chains make great visual locators for your luggage bags that you have to check at the airport.

I love the trunk. The charms and bracelet remind me of Pandora’s. I believe the price is worth it because of the quality of the items and the fact you can reuse it and display it every year. It is just too pricey for me which stinks.

The bracelet you were first opening is like a pandora bracelet so that clasp you opened can go anywhere inbetween the charms, the same with that round one with expelliarmus on it.

The trunk calendar is much better than last years.....my favorite charms were the dangle version of Hogwarts and Hogwarts express. Favorite tradition....my obscene amount of decorating I do plus watching classic Christmas movies....thanks for sharing.....so enjoy your enthusiasm!

These are fun, The non dangle charms are actually spacer beads to put between the charms the dangle so they are spaced out more on the bracelet. Great videos!

Omg perfect timing I actually have time to enjoy some coffee and some Potter gifts! I like the trunk itself on this box - if I knew an adamant jewelry enthusiast this would be great. I like the like the Hogwarts express and the night sky one. Hugh didn't know you could exchange clasps - never seen that before! I do like the time turner pin a lot as well.

Those extra clasps are spacer beads. You clip them between charms to space them out a bit especially between the dangly ones to keep them apart 😁

First box: My favorite charm is they last Hogwarts in gold with the gemstones, but I'd also like to have that sorting hat "bead". From the second box, I love the 9 3/4 key chain.

I actually got this year's advent calendar. It came in the mail last week and I was super excited to open it. Loved almost every single item! It was a little pricey but I made the decision to spend a little extra on myself. So glad I did!

The trunk version is more creative and I like the fact that it's reusable. The jewelry definitely calls out to me so I could go for that if I had the budget for it. The standard version is easier on the pocket, is nice, and the collector in me wants those keychains and pin badges.

I liked the charm bracelet. As for the keychains they were nice looking, but how many keychains does one need in a single advent calendar? 😂 seemed a bit redundant. I too LOVE the holiday season! hey peter. i collect alot of charm bracelets. i work at pandora jewlery. soooo some knowledge id like to give you is 1) the squared off ones are called clips they dont move and they create spaces on the bracelet to keep things somewhat even 2) this is more of a recommendation. the beads you where given you can use those to sepperate the dangles so its like symmetrical. if u have any questions feel free to reply :) have a magical day

The “squared off” ones are clips you can use them to separate but on a cord bracelet you can use it as a stopper on the end so none fall off.

I think those square charms are meant to go in between different charms on the bracelet to keep them spaced out. Those are gorgeous! I liked the time turner and the last Hogwarts charm best! 😊

The trunk is more pricey but definitely worth it. Charms are expensive and it's great that you can re-use the trunk and the boxes. The other advent calendar had too many button pins and I wouldn't care for the pen (what do you do when it runs out of ink!)

Loved the video! The items of the trunk are very Pandora inspired, a brand that does have a line of HP charms. These charms start at 39€ (45$ or 33 pounds). So you are getting a great value. At 10:16, considering that charm is bigger than the rest, maybe is supposed to go on the necklaces? I would be happy if someone gave me that trunk.

I personally don't like super big keychains. I love the small sorting hat keychain. And I used to have a charm bracelet as a kid they were great. A Harry potter themed one would be cool but don't know if I would wear it. Overall those are great boxes.

The trunk calendar is the only hp one I really like this year, all of the others seem to be repeat products from previous years calendar. the charms are pandora type charms... usualy they r expensive, one charm can very for 10$ to 40$ depending on the quality. if the charms r wont rust or scrach then its really good and worth the cost

Charm bracelets can be very expensive to curate and collect! I think the more expensive trunk is the one I'd want to have for myself- my favourite charm was actually the first Hogwarts one :) It's nice to see some different stuff in the calendars like Dobby and the Express, because otherwise you always know what's coming in the products made for the biggest audience possible- Hallows, snitch, 9 3/4, owl...

Idea for you: Since my Litjoy keys are being displayed in their boxes, I got the big heavy circular key ring they offered, and hang all my HP keychains from it. It keeps them together and organized. Hope this helps.
