I missed out on the new hasbro remakes. Missed the preorder, and every single figure has been bought up. I paid for them 3 times on the website, and then they cancel my order afterwards because they're already gone. They're all on ebay for 4 times the price...so instead I ordered the classic 80s figures from ebay for dirt cheap, and then ordered the 3d printed packs. Still got all 4 busters but paid less than half of what the scalpers are asking for the new ones.

I couldn’t preorder them, either. I did preorder the Plasma movie figures, but Amazon canceled the order on me last Friday. No idea why. It’s so frustrating.

We all know new toys with 40 points of articulation are for the children/men who collect toys that were kids in the 80’s/90’s. I know because I’m one of them. Lol great review GB News !

Interesting on the new slimer having stiffer plastic. In my experience as plastic ages, it tends to get more brittle so I would think the older one would be more stiff.

Have you noticed the connectors on the proton packs on the reissued figures is different from the connectors on the old original ones? I tried to put 2 new proton packs from the kenner reissues onto the back of my highway haunter car and found out the slots to place 2 packs won't allow the new reissue packs to fit at all

Same. All of the differences in the details, and paint apps can be all be explained by different paint formula's, plastics, and mold degradation. You see the same thing in model kits. Seems to me these are repops, not recreations.

@@valdore5939 the 4 Ghostbusters figures are made from a much softer bendy sort of rubbery plastic while the original 4 Ghostbusters figures were a much harder stiffer plastic.

@@Rat_King_Reviews They are? I haven't been brave enough yet to unbox mine. Because I'm positive I'm gonna lose the damn packs, like I did last time. lol. but I did compare them to my originals, and they're almost identical. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to eventually unbox them I guess.

I checked several stores in the Los Angeles area and did not see any GB figures. I ended up buying my Stay Puft from eBay for 2x retail price. I had a pre-order with a UK toy website but cancelled it once the eBay figure arrived. I also have a Kenner figure and the more slender shape of the Hasbro was the first thing I noticed. I definitely recommend getting a new Stay Puft.

Man, these are incredibly hard to come by in stores in my area, they stock 2 to 3 of each then they were gone. But I managed to land all 4 ghostbusters and 2 each of slimer and stay puft (because I needed them unopened for my collection and my son needed the latter two his bday to play with)

I wouldn't hold out much hope for ecto glow. I think Kenner/hasbro completely underestimated how big a deal a release this was for the fans. It should have happened multiple times over the years already, the same with TMNT re-releases, G1 Transformer re-releases etc. Oldschool fans are so starved for these figs that they're gobbled up almost instantly and the shipments are few. I'm guessing they won't even make enough to satisfy demand, likely just a one off.

I’m all for them releasing unreleased figures. But I don’t want them reproducing everything. This doesn’t need to be Star Wars re-releasing everything.

I dont mind the odd re-release as items like Transformers dont age well and cost a fortune which prices them out of most collectors hands. However if they do re-create i like them to clearly identify them strongly as re-creations on the figure, card and accessories to avoid re-seller scams on eBay

Hasbro actually owns Kenner since 1991. So they could’ve took their original 30 year old molds and recreated them into brand-new molds.

I had these as a kid and my daughter loves Stay Puft, so much so, she would tell me off for nocking him off the side of a building in the video game. With her birthday coming up I'd love to get her a Stay Puft doll but can't find one
