It's not the shaders/modders fault, it's Mojang's fault for coding the game with almost absent performance optimization every update the game gets more and more laggy if you want to play with stable fps you need sodium or optifine. even Mc bedrock is getting laggier every update they can't even bother to put the bare minimum performance boost.

Broken shadows are the shader fault not iris, optifine is super obsolite and not more performance coded like iris
@JbuildsGaming6 ай бұрын
True, I mean mojang isn’t doing a great job with the performance as you said you either need sodium or optifine to get stable fps. For a game being out for that many years and being one of the most played game, it’s poorly optimised.

rethinking voxels is still in beta, it uses raytraced lights (lanterns, torch, lava ecc) you can see it at night

Complementary looks the best for me. You get great visibility - dark areas are not too dark. SSAO implementation is not as aggressive like in Bliss shader. Colors are warm but still feel natural and not too staurated. Bliss is just way too cold and it uses a very weird color pallete that doesn't look too bad outside during day time, but underground it's terrible and textures look grainy and have too high contrast. With Bliss shader chest edges are just black while with Complementary I can eaisly tell it's dark brown. The same with Dark Oak planks: they are almost black in darker areas with Bliss, while Complementary helps in seeing details and colors feel just right.

It’s really just a personal opinion, I love complementary shaders I use them very often, good performance and looks amazing. Bliss on the other hand make the atmosphere feel more real and colder but I kinda like it this way. I must say the rivers and oceans on bliss shader is a winner for me.

Yo, dym if you record in 120fps? The game looks a bit choppy and 120 fps would fix the problems. Thanks
@JbuildsGaming6 ай бұрын
Recording at 120fps can indeed result in smoother playback, especially if your gameplay is fast-paced or involves a lot of motion. However, if your video's final output will be at a lower frame rate (like 30fps or 60fps), the difference may not be noticeable in the final video. It's essential to consider both the recording and playback settings to optimize for smoothness.

most of these issues with performance is minecraft's fault. if you use optimization mods such as sodium, xenon (sodium's best fork), starlight, lithium, etc. you would have a lot of fps. Also in my opinion sodium is much better than optifine. Optifine seems kinda outdated, and for me sodium performs better, for you optifine might perform better.
@JbuildsGaming6 ай бұрын
Sodium performs better for me but there is some shaders that I prefer using optifine. Some outdated shaders that still look good only work with optifine or atleast the shadows aren’t broken.
