As a long time Warframe player I feel it's important to clarify that that crafting time you stated is not actually reflective of anything that you could actually experience in the game unless you intentionally limited yourself to an extreme extent for no reason. You can craft an effectively infinite number of items simultaneously as long as they are not the same item. So you can't craft two Aeolak rifles at once for instance, but you can craft an Aeolak, Alternox, Basmu, Boar, Excalibur Chasis, Systems, and Neuroptics, and the Excalibur Warframe itself if you already had the three parts for it but were for some reason crafting more, simultaneously. This means that the number you cited is well, not to be rude, but it's completely meaningless. All these timers continue to count down when you're offline too, so if you start five warframes crafting for three days and then go on vacation for along weekened you'll come back to five new Warframes ready for you to play with. This is kind of a major flaw in your analysis here because it's so glaringly factually inaccurate. Of course you do need to buy the inventory space, that's an accurate critique, but I'd argue that since all the gameplay content in the game is actually available for free well, we live in capitalism, they're a company. They gotta make money somehow. Also, all of those prime warframes are available without paying money as well, and when they get removed and then re-added they're once again available for free for the duration... not to mention that the way you get them for free is by using a normal ingame resource to buy an item that gives you a chance at the part. So you can essentially stock up on chances at acquiring the limited time items to use later whenever you feel like it.

Your portrayal of Warframe's crafting time is extremely disingenuous, as you completely ignore the fact that more than one thing can be crafted at once. For someone who doesnt play the game, you make it sound like you would have to wait 10,000 hours to get all the items which is absolutely not the case.

This video is not honest and is misleading on some cases . If you play destiny as a free to play you know that you don't get to access the " entire story " a huge chunk of the story is locked behind DLCs and expansions. I apologize if it sounds like im hating because that's not my intention , but saying that you get access to the entire story is indeed false .

Don't forget between base game launch and Forsaken is now locked in DCV, of course with exception to Dreaming City and the Dungeon Shattered Throne still being accessible. The "free campaign" is garbage and barely covers the mechanics of the game

I think you misunderstood some parts. I never said the entire story for Destiny 2 was free, only during the subjective comparison parts while doing a "what if" scenario if Bungie copied other developers.

you proved your point about destiny 2 to be free to play. Destiny 2 to me is literally going to the store where 80% of its items are basically restricted because you didn't bought the permissions to buy them yet. When it came to warframe as someone who plays it since 2014 and it was a bad example but everything in that game you could buy in the market isn't worth it. Warframe offers warframes and weapons but mostly warframes and weapons aren't worth getting thanks to the modding system. You can buy all warframes and all weapons but if you don't have the mods that you can't really buy then is like having the best car and no gas to run it. You can use them anyway but they are inefficient or horrible performances, is no use buying a good weapon without having its mods cards to improve it. you can buy this mods from other players but you would basically pay is just with others peoples money by trading to get platinum first. Anyone who spends money is because wants to speed the process or wants cosmetics.

I actually didn't. I just waited for Warframe to show up. XD Kinda disappointed at the major mistake he made in talking about the crafting time though. Like, yes, if you only ever crafted one item at a time for some reason it would take you that long to craft every warframe, but I have every warframe and I've been playing an absurdly long amount of time, but still not that long. I only bought one of them because I got fed up with the RNG that day. That is of course ignoring all the other items you have to craft which would have made that number he stated quite a lot larger... but you can craft more than one item at a time. In fact as far as I know the limit on how many items you can craft simultaneously is the number of different craftable items that exist in the game. Like, I guess there are some quest items you have to craft that you wouldn't be able to craft at the same time as items for different quests since you can only do one quest at a time from what I remember, but yeah. If you had all the materials you could craft every single Warframe in the game in 84 hours.

Agree with you on most of your points except for Overwatch. The content Blizzard did abandon would not have been free to play content anyways so I think there is still a valid comparison to be made. The story of Destiny 2 and Overwatch 2 is the same issue on different ends. One game has abandoned PvE, while one has abandoned PvP. Blizzard deciding to stop working on PvE and releasing the half-baked mission they had made in the process is not very much different in theory to Bungie releasing ONE Crucible map for the entire year. As a player of both games, we cry together.

The research wasn't in depth because it's not that type of video, I was merely drawing comparisons to Destiny 2 while focusing solely on playable content and monetization from other F2P games. As for editing, my PC can't handle it lol.

Not too mention your being very disingenuous about warframes crafting as you can craft every blueprint at once since it's not limited to one at a time. And i didnt hear a mention that everything in game is farmable for every weapon, warframe, companion, and even alot of cosmetics. Edit: even storage space is farmable but at a different rate with night wave or just doing some prime farming selling the parts and getting storage space with that.

"Other free to play games" like Destiny is free to play. That's hilarious! Never has been, never will be because they can't seem to manage their revenue very well. Each expansion is $20+ because the access you get when playing "for free" is limited to pvp and strikes.

remember when DE try to nerf farming abilities for mods only to introduce a booster for mods to fix set nerf for platinum only to have a backlash form the community about it being pay to win, yeah thats when we considered it as pay to win in warframe as much as you want to paint prime warframes and the shops where all the warframes and weapons are "pay to win" you basically missed the point that the moment they introduce a way to purchase mods directly, thats when its pay to win heck I got more value just from playing the game free then destiny 2 with their aggressively ways of forcing players to pay money, plus whales in warframe literally helps all f2p players as platinum the premium currency is tradable to players which in this case helps f2p players by selling diserable items like mods for endgame or even prime warframes [which you showed in this video as to be considered pay to win which they are just simply stat upgrades of the original warframes] just by grinding, plus the prime resurgence also helped f2p player by introducing aya which players can trade it for plat and can grind it by just playing the game, heck I've tried to get in to D2 but the thing is that it will never respects my time and effort at all like D1 and it feels like a gatcha game without the gambling machine but instead you can skip all of that just by paying the highest teir of the preimum currency, while warframe has always respected my time and effort and never makes me log in daily everday, even the time delay[although anyoing] for crafting just asks you to take the break and come back once its done early game it would be anyoning but when you've played the game for more then 6 years you will apreciate it as I did.

a lot of good points but you cant equate lol and destiny like that cause each champion has a diferrent way to play they game and then the items that you can purchuse further differentiate how you go about playing those champions even though if you get some odd items your team is going to flame you if you do bad with them.

ive been playing destiny since 2014 back on ps4 loved it preordered d2 and the way it is now is terrible i stopped playing it not becasue i was burnt out but becasue i paid $60 to get the game then they made it free and made every single thing i had done in the game worth less some one starting a new chracter had a higher ligth level then me and now desitny 2 is just ass i grinded for guns that a little 12 yo who knows nothign about the game can just go and buy they ruined the game and most veterans woudl agree with me not many of us are happy with the game im not saying that all destiny vets agree with me some still love the game but all the ones i talk to and ask questions to no longer like the game for the same reasons i do the constant micro transactions season passes top loot locked behind pay walls in d1 dlcs cost $20 to get now they are asking me to pay $50 every year and if i dont i cant play alot of the game in destiny 1 if you didnt own a dlc you could still play the base game certain game modes were not taken from you that you once had d2 fell off they would need to make a d3 if they wanted old players to come back and they owudl ened to do it right and not go down the same paths again
