that is a 'wowstick' Mini, the lesser of the available wowstick models and is not really made for professional use, In fact the mini isn't even made by Xiaomi who made the original (and best) Wowstick models, Xiaomi sold the 'wowstick' name and rights to a company called Standmac, who then ran a kickstarter campaign to fund this 'wowstick' mini, as you have found it is a 'wowstick' in name only, and it really is inferior to the proper wowstick models. So if you want a proper wowstick buy the Xiaomi 1F+ or 1F pro, these are the ones to have and to use as a tech, buy one of those and stay away from this 'wowstick' mini, it is not made to the same standard as the originals

I work in Field services level support for my local school district. I really liked the amir electric screwdriver until one day it just stopped working on me. im trying to find a way to repair it but it only cost me $22.00 from amazon. it lasted about a year. i will be ordering it again.

Great video. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm in the process of searching for a holly grail of electric repairman screwdriver. As I'm working with a tiny laptop and regular size 1/4" hex bits, do you know of any screwdriver which will cover both sizes? A lot of home appliances require a 10-15cm long hex or Philips drivers, so a Wowstick nor the AMIR will get me covered. Seems like the 1/4" narrow, elongated torx set might get to do the job. But then most 1/4" hex screwdrivers are really meant to drive screws in wood, and their torque is way too big for the job. An adjustable torque would be a welcomed addition. Do you know of any such device?

The problem are the bits. How do you know you have got the one you will need? The metal alloy is sturdy or will peen against sturdy screws. The tips are fine and the geometry precise?
@ilovehotdogs1257902 жыл бұрын
what size bits do they use? I'm trying to find an extra long bit for tighter spaces

Just use a bit extender.

Sounds like the wow stick is using some not so wow plastic gears and components in there. 60 x 20 or 30 screws per laptop isn't a lot. I'd be sending it back.

I am a hobbiest and not builder/seller of PCs so perhaps my perspective is different, since the most I am doing is fixing an accquaintances' computer or replacing personal PC parts, but unless working on some computer building assembly line, never understood the need to use any power tools to assemble a computer.

I have exactly this screwdriver in a little bit different configuration (46 bits and a round charging stand, that can hold up to 10 bits) running in my little chain of repair shops for more than 2 years - up to now all of the 16 precision screwdrivers are working like in their 1st day. It's a fantastic tool with a sturdy build and absolutely capable for extended professional use. Not all Chinese products are garbage!
