Comparing Seiko SKX Case Sizes - 42.5mm vs 38mm (SKX007 vs. SKX013)

Still can't believe Seiko discontinued these extremely popular models. Just to introduce similar ones with those ugly number 5s on the dials. Good luck finding a used SKX007 or 009 in great condition at anything remotely approaching reasonable prices.

I've been keeping an eye on the New-Old Stock SKXs for sale on eBay and the prices are insane. I'm assuming they'll bring it back as a special or limited edition some time in the future, but they'll probably charge like $600 for it :/ Rafael

@@Bespokeunit Sadly, forced to agree with you. Wondering how many individuals with customized SKX007s and 009s have swapped the original parts back onto their watches, just to toss them up on eBay with HUGE premiums.

The SKX009 on the rubber strap is the Japanese model reference as is says 21 jewels on the dial, the other SKX009 is the Malaysian built version. If your interested for collecting purposes. They use fitting rings for larger references there is often no difference in size of movement even across brands unless the watch itself is specifically built for the movement or it’s a Manufacture movement. The SKX is a great discontinued reference.🤘😎

Yep, that's correct. I didn't delve into the K or J versions as the cases are exactly the same. Great info regarding the movement rings! Rafael

The 015 is the pepsi version of the 013 so they do have the smaller pepsi style. I found a few pre owned floating around but be careful of good mods, these are much more rare than the 013's. Oh, and they also have it in the porange dial which is the 017, i think.

Finding a genuine SKX015 seems very difficult especially with how common mods are and the potential price premium that a seller could get seeing as how these models are rare. Rafael
