Something to consider for the welcome bonus is that Amex is a one and done for life, whereas Chase is every four years.

That’s not precisely true, lots of people have seen that Amex “forgets” about your previous card after about 7 years. And there’s always retention offers

When I traveled abroad I realized a lot of countries don’t rlly take Amex cards esp in Asia. For that reason do you also keep your chase card on you? Or do u have a diff backup card

Hi Brian Good stuff. One question. My sister lost her job. Citi card wants $320 on an 8K balance . Is their a way to get them to reduce it? She can afford about $200. They cut her credit to 0 she had $4k balance on it. Thanks in advance

I’ve heard a handful of reports of people with higher scores still getting declined but YMMV. Capital one just has funky approval algorithms
