Comparing the Bark Phone to Gabb, Troomi & Pinwheel

My daughter has the Bark phone, we love it aside from all the random spam calls and random people constantly calling her. Granted she can’t answer because the number isn’t approved by me, but they still blow her phone up daily none the less and it’s annoying. They pack her voicemail. It’s also pricey, so now it’s time for my second oldest to get a phone and we are trying the Gabb phone for him to get an accurate comparison. I will update once we receive it and have time to see which is better.

So there is no chance that my teen could get around anything with this? He couldn't download twitch, discord,FB? Can he use Google meet to video chat his friends?

Hi! The Bark Phone is more tamper proof than most. Parents have the ability to restrict access to the device settings, as well as offers parent Device Code protection to deter any changes without approval. The Bark Phone also prevents kids from using Safe Mode, and even if they factory reset the phone, you will still have Bark automatically put in place. Any app in the Play Store that is compatible with the Samsung A13 can be added to the Bark Phone, if parents wish. I’m 16, I have a gabb phone, I don’t hate it but I would MUCH rather have a phone where I can Google things or idk scan a QR code at a restaurant. And I can’t listen to the music I want to because the music app on gabb just plays kind of random songs so it would be nice to have Spotify. And my gabb phone is really slow.

Bark phone has been great but lack of customer service is an inconvenience. Posting comment here hoping to get the company's attention to address a billing matter. Received multiple requests to update billing info and I have each time. But now my account is cancelled. The chat robot cannot help. I need to be able to talk to someone.

you truly dont have the customer service to assist the range of clients you have! we ordered a phone and still can not get someone to assist on the set up!!!! I am so disappointed your advertising is great but your customer service ruins it all! I really need someone to just call before i return the phone and demand a refund!@@BarkTechnologies

IMO depends on the kid and their maturity. 1st phone in 6-7th grade go with Pinwheel. No need for internet at that age when you do homework at home where parent can monitor internet. Child needs to show the maturity to handle the internet. As they grow, Bark provides more independence for older kids who need internet to do homework at the library, maybe 9th-10th grade and up.

I agree with Titania on this one it is the best kids safe phone and because it has a browser and the play store of course not full access because your parents control it but because it has a browser and the play store teens and children will be more likely to use it the gabb phone is so limiting and so trashy and as a teen myself i would not want a stupid gabb phone troomi i don’t really like that they don’t have the AppStore but parents can enable apps i do not like that pinwheel or gabb does not have web browsers i have a iphone but if my parents were to get me a kids safe phone i would prefer the bark phone over troomi or pinwheel or gabb and the gabb phone is off my list 2:21

Our bark phone wont set up and there is no one to assist. If you are looking for the bark phone know they have no phone support at all. I am ready to send it back and demand a refund or reach out to my credit card company and fight it.

How come phones are SOOO large when they're intended for kids!? We're looking for a phone for our son that he needs to carry when in school so we can remotely monitor his blood sugar, no apps, no browser, full parental control. A 6+ inch screen makes a very large phone that does not fit in his pocket... Any suggestions?
