“I want to know if any one of you who has got the spirit of "Mormonism" in you, the spirit that Joseph and Hyrum had, or that we have here, would say, Let us hear both sides of the question, let us listen, and prove all things? What do you want to prove? Do you want to prove that an old apostate, who has been cut off from the Church thirteen times for lying, is anything worthy of notice?" Brigham Young, 1853
A Presentation about History of Revisionism in the Church.
D&C 121: 17 "But those who cry transgression do it because they are the servants of sin, and are the children of disobedience themselves....Verse 22: It had been better for them that a millstone had been hanged about their necks, and they drowned in the depth of the sea."

I think of new converts or investigators who are the first generation into the Church. I loved history and read and studied everything I could. I'm the only one of my family in the church besides my children who only one is active. So I read and saw those who committed treachery and betrayal of the prophet or the saints for personal gain or fear. The worst treachery is that at the hands of your supposed friends.

26 Yea, wo be unto him that hearkeneth unto the precepts of men, and denieth the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost! 27 Yea, wo be unto him that saith: We have received, and we need no more! 28 And in fine, wo unto all those who tremble, and are angry because of the truth of God! For behold, he that is built upon the crock dreceiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall fall. 29 Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we aneed bno more of the word of God, for we have enough! 30 For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.

11 And he hath power given unto him from the Father to redeem them from their sins because of repentance; therefore he hath sent his angels to declare the tidings of the conditions of repentance, which bringeth unto the power of the Redeemer, unto the salvation of their souls. 12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

This topic will be more important very soon. The Book of Mormon shows us what happened to their church and government in Helaman and 3rd Nephi. It will repeat.

The Prophet Joseph taught that whatever God requires is always right and that which comes from God edifies the soul. The Prophet Joseph is the literal head of this dispensation and will require an accountability of every priesthood holder at the final meeting before the Second Coming as mentioned in Daniel 7, when he will return all priesthood keys back to Adam, the Ancient of Days. The Church cannot be destroyed as long as we can build up the Kingdom through both priesthoods faster than Satan can try to tear down the Church by getting people to apostatize. The Church is the only true and living Church on earth and was cut out of stone without hands. There is much to learn about the doctrine and work of the Lord, including about everything the Prophet Joseph taught.

If it is the real church of Jesus Christ, Satan can not overturn it. If it is a fraud, filled with false apostles, it will implode, unravel, and be exposed. Pretty simple.

@Charlotte - Your statement sounds reasonable. But although Satan likely knows that, do you think it is enough to keep him from trying to weaken the church, even to the point it might start to "implode, unravel, or be exposed"? It begs a question: Do you believe in the Church as set up in the Bible? Does it still exist as it did in the New Testament and was it the real church of Jesus Christ and not possible for Satan to overturn or destroy? Why or why not?

@@moonman5543 It is very difficult to understand the context of your comment. (For starters) do you say this because you are (perhaps) an atheist... or....maybe it's something else (such as), do you consider your beliefs Christian leaning?

@@ericreed4535 Not at all, and congratulations for your attempt to set the bait. It is you attempting to set the trap of bias and are evidently feeling constrained by the limits you place on your own mind of who might ask such a question. Are you saying someone who is "Agnostic, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Stoic" etc. would actually go out of their way to visit a quaint and obscure Christian-themed channel such as this and try to start an argument on a tangential Christian topic? You demand I include other possibilities knowing how I could be labeled if I conceded you a point. Let neither of us flatter ourselves, I did not mention those because it would show a "weak cognitive process" to stereotype such with such a presumed connection when the viewer comment clearly framed it based on the center of Christianity, not anything to do with Hindu, Buddist, etc. as you demand. Why introduce such a bias towards any of those you mention? Do any of those you mention deserve this or might have some "trait" for this channel to give them such a special negatively presumed mention? It would make no sense at all and invite negative accusations of why we have to presume what you demand.

@@ericreed4535 OK, so it seems your point is in regards to defending agnostics, who are somewhere between Christians and atheists? Are you saying I should have included the possibility of whether that person was an agnostic when I tried to get them to clarify what exactly they meant by was meant when it was stated there is no church as he described? So, understanding what you meant going forward, I probably should have added a comma in my question, such as " an atheist(,) or do you consider your beliefs Christian leaning..." Then if I added that choice as a possibility, would it have sufficed? Such as "Do you say this because you are "perhaps an agnostic", an atheist, or do you consider your beliefs Christian leaning?"

There are probably so many revisionist based recreations of history and unfact to deal with that it would probably take many videos to deal with all of them. But they do show up and can be spotted when you compare a teaching, doctrine, or other saying with what's in the scriptures. This is why people need to be able to use the holy ghost to know what to do, and in their gospel learning. We should seek and rely on the holy ghost as much as possible, INSTEAD of trying to use our own logic only.

It sounds like you are playing anti-mormonish games with context. You surely realize whatever you refer to does not support the context you wish it would. If you investigated enough to speak from a position of knowledge rather than hearsay and speculation. Joseph Smith taught, and early apostles that were close to Joseph Smith that the main purpose of the church relocating to the Rockies was to help the native peoples in this part of the Americas to come to a knowledge of their promised blessings to restore their lands wrongfully taken from them. If you thoroughly listened to all of the videos on this channel with an open and objective mind, you might come to an understanding of the Lord's intent with this gospel. There are ample sermons rebuking the early saints for not accepting and living up to their calling to love and help native people, as admittedly even today there is still a need for that mission to be fulfilled. But in an objective examination and discussion, there is not strong case for what you accuse.

If you want a blessing, why not just ask for one? You can ask for blessings and if you prepare for it with kindness and goodness in your heart, it will be answered... All you have to do is be sincere. Anything lost can be earned or brought back by just trying to be good, have your heart free of hatred. Blessings and having a future depend on being good and having good spirit in heart. Even if you don't know for sure about the church, or know a lot about its teachings people can ask for a future and a blessing from god through priesthood holders. And natives can ask god through blessings to replace their lost blessings and give them a good future, and to ask god to rebuild their tribe again. But again, that won't be built on hatred. You need to have to humble yourself and clean your heart of hatred.
