I have a Costco an hour away and bought the Jabra enhance pro 20’s. I am happy with my purchase and I did look at Jabra’s website and even communicated with them. I would say if you are close to a Costco, that is the best deal with the service you get and the real ear measurement they do with the hearing aid in your ears. When I am at Costco shopping, I see many people stopping by to get domes or wax filters as well as cleanings. You can’t beat it.

​@user-mz2kb7rj5q Costco has some of the most thorough hearing testing available. The follow-up is top notch. I am on my 3rd set of Costco hearing aids. My insurance pays for new hearing aids every 36 months. I will be purchasing the new Phillips 9050 as soon as available at Costco.

I’m using recently Resound Omnia 9 w/ advanced M&RIE receivers. Sure things Jabra (soon Resound will bring its retail brand under the same brand name) is as good as the best Resound HA, with one very important difference - Jabra Enhance 20 is much less expensive than Resound Omnia 9 or latest model, Nexia. Only because I have avoided buying HA through the expensive audiologist/dispensers private office chains but on eBay I was able to end up with $1,800 Omnia 9 w/ this more expensive receivers w/ third microphone in the ear canal. Otherwise will cost me at least over $4k, while Nexia even over $7K. So getting your prescription good HA through Costco is the way to go for the public avoiding exaggerated audiologist prices and shameful lack of these needed medical devices coverage of healthcare insurances and Medicare.

I just got the Jabre Enhanced Pro 20. What a difference from my previous Kirkland 7.0! It works so much better. I didn't realize how many doors in my house squeaked. Restaurant conversations are now easier and pleasant. I have to keep telling my wife that she doesn't have to shout anymore. If you are willing to go $1,499.99, fork out the extra $100 it is only 6.6 % more and it is more up to date.

@@michaelholliday100 I almost realized that about Jabra (i.e., Resound brand) Enhanced 20 Pro, but my New Year timing of purchasing Resound Omnia 9 obviously was just unfortunate. Since I’d prefer to go to Costco instead and purchase for the same $1,800 price as Omnia 9 (online cost), which doesn’t have Bluetooth LE and Aura-cast feature. The only serious negative purchasing from Costco is the lack of audiologist best practices and equipment capabilities not only for HA programming but understanding the technology intimately so Costco dispensers are incapable to fit accordingly, neither they are fit to help you further with picked HA. Practically purchasing even the best HA like Jabra 20 Pro from Costco everybody who wants to be knowledgeable wearer, informed and skillful user of the advanced HA is left on his/her own. From my experience with Costco dispensers and with 3 audiologist offices I can say it doesn’t matter if one get from Costco the most affordable and advanced in the same time HA like Resound (Jabra) Enhanced 20 Pro, the wearer will be forced to spend more and multiple times going for help to audiologist offices and ignoring Costco dispensers. I read that Resound is planing to drop Jabra retail brand and sell only Resound name HA, how this will affect the most secretly advanced top of the Resound brand “Jabra Enhanced 20 Pro” given to Costco wearhouse for sale, I do not know yet.

I tried the Jabra, and turned them in for the full refund - thanks, Jabra! Why? When using them in a phone call on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, the person I was talking to couldn’t hear me. I’d have to switch the sound to Speaker EVERY DAMN TIME. I spoke with the company about this, and was told “No, we have no plans to address this.” Oticon works fine with my iPhone.

I tried the Philip 9040 but changed to Jabra enhance pro 20 for 3 reasons. 1. Android hand free call with my Samsung zip5 Bluetooth 5.3. Even though it is not on the list. 2. Sound cancellation is better than the 9040. More directional control than 9040. 3. Future proof with Aruacast on the horizon. I'll keep the Jabra for now.

I've had the Jabra Enhanced 300 for about 2 weeks and am very pleased with them. I originally tried Sam's Lucid but the audiologist was constantly tinkering with the settings and I never got accustomed to them. The Jabra's are 1/2 the cost and the support, so far, has been excellent. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the very helpful video. I'm wondering, to what extent is occlusion present using the Jabra Enhance Select models? If it is present, are open domes available for them? And would open domes make much of a difference?

Open domes would make a huge difference and yes you should have all of the domes available. If you have a mild high frequency loss, open would be the best and as the severity of your loss increases, more occlusion would be needed, closed, tulips or power domes. Ask questions and they will inform you what you need

I have my first Costco appointment on Sunday and intend on ordering the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s. Anything you suggest I tell the fitter at that time or at the fitting that they sometimes miss? Should I tell them about the second “Hear in Noise” from your other video that gets you the restaurant mode? What about making sure music streaming sounds great? This is all new to me. I want to go in educated so they don’t miss anything.

Yes, let them know about the 2 variations of the "Hear in Noise" programs and inform them on the environments you will be using your hearing aids. Also, if you will be streaming music, then I would also suggest using a decent pair of ear buds for music. I got the Enhance Pro 10s 4 months ago and music doesn't sound nearly as rich / full as my Jabra Elite 85t or Sound Core Liberty 3 Pro ear buds. The hearing aids are fine for podcasts and audio books for me.

I don't want to tell anyone how to do their job but you feel free to! Lol. Streaming quality is terrible with most Rx hearing aids. Use the equalizer in the app to make it tolerable.

I bought the Enhance pro 200 last year. What is the difference between it and the 300? What were the upgrades?

I don't know. I'm assuming the enhance select 200 was probably the older enhance pro pm, before the enhance pro 10 but probably had less channels. I bet it was the same hearing aid as the beltone imagine and resound one with 12 channels. Look up those hearing aids and you will figure out what upgrades there were.

I'm going in Monday for ear molds but I haven't made up my mind yet between Jabra and Rexton. I have some questions. 1) When you use the app to make changes in the Rexton app, are those changes permanent, or are they lost when charging like in the Jabra app? Is there a way to preserve them as in Jabra "Favorites" if they are lost? 2) Which company's "first fit" software hits your prescription the closest? Jabra or Rexton? I realize REM will be performed in the end, but the software was used to "match" my prescription in order for me to test each hearing aid in the store. I just don't want the "first fit" to mislead me in how the different hearing aids perform when trying them out. My first impression is that the Rextons seem to attenuate background noise way better than the Jabras inside the Costco where I'm getting them. Is that going to be the case across the board - even after REM, or can the Jabras be programmed to do as good a job as the Rextons at reducing the background noise. The Rextons seemed to give me a more peaceful feeling as I walked around the inside of the store.

I have a video on the Rexton app that explains how it works and no you cannot set any favorites. Some of the changes are permanent and some are temporary, watch the video. The background noise can be adjusted using the Jabra app. This can really reduce a lot of the background noise.

Great Job! Now, I mentioned this a couple of videos back. I purchased from Costco the new Jabra Pro 20. Very nice units however I have a problem when using them to receive a phone call on my IPhone. The units uses my hearing aids microphone to transmit my side of the conversation and the recipient hears a lot of background noise unless I am in an extremely quiet environment, making them useless in a normal environment. I end up having to go to speaker mode on the phone which is difficult for me to hear and makes the conversation not so private. The use of aids on my phone conversations is an extremely important feature for me. The question is, is there a way to get around this or is there some sort of adjustment? I would even be happy using the aids to hear the phone and use the microphone on the phone which helps a lot with muting environment noise. I have been told there is no such adjustment. Although I am happy with the units I am debating returning them because of this problem. Previously I have used other aids in which I have not had this problem. Thank you in advance.

Thank you!!! I found the video and I can’t thank you enough. It changed everything. It works after testing it. I will confirm that you cannot change it while in a conversation but that is not a problem because the setting remains active until it is changed again so I do not have to access it while online. The folks that set up my aids originally have no clue about this setting and said it could not be done, I think it is time for me to educate them…..thanks to you. 😊

All I can contribute is my own experience here in the UK, the audiologist at Costco performed an extensive set of test lasting over an hour which I was more than satisfied with as they covered all the areas of my hearing deficiencies and a couple of weeks later delivered me a pair of programmed Jabra Enhanced Rro10's, a Premium charger and a Resound TV streamer which transformed my life.....a review was scheduled a month later where no modifications or corrections were necessary. The price of the entire package was very reasonable at the equivalent of $1600. The only thing I am missing on this model is the ability to answer phone calls bu touching or pressing a button on the device itself, the phone app is easy to understand and use with a host of features as well.

well, you have to remember that whether you went to school for audiology or you are just a hearing aid specialist like myself, everyone has a different level of experience. I bet, when it comes to hearing aids, the years I have been working in the field, i probably know more about the hearing aids, the fittings etc than a new audiologist. Just my 2 cents :)

I purchased the Select 300 and when I put them on each day , the sound is like I’m in a cave or the bottom of a barrel. Once I reduce the volume with two clicks, it improves. I’ve had two adjustments but still have to reduce the volume. I’m giving it two more weeks, if no improvement, back it goes.

That’s most likely the “occlusion effect”. You may want to try a more open dome if your hearing loss allows

It depends on the person. Some folks get great relief from tinnitus with hearing aids and some people get no relief. It doesn’t depend on the hearing aid as much as it depends on the person.

I have a pair of Phonak Audeo M70-R that I purchased from a local full-service Audiologist in 2019. I just re-upped for my LAST extended warranty. Batteries were changed out about 18 months ago (was totally surprised how "worn out" the old batteries were). Basically happy - cost was about $4500 for the pair back in 2019. Going to have batteries changed out during this last warranty period. QUESTION: are the new Costco Jabra's better or equal to my 4 year old tech? If better, how? Exactly, you can pay $1,600 for the latest tech with the jabra enhance pro 20 with auracast. Other than the new Bluetooth, hearing aids 4 years ago vs current hearing aids have too many technological advances than I can describe here. You have to know what these advance features are. Impulse noise reduction, AI in other brands, dfs ultra feedback control technologies, microphone directionality features and advancements, noise reduction... you see what I mean? Old hearing aids have old and missing tech. It's up to you to try these new hearing aids and decide if the benefit or improvement is worth $1,600. Nobody can answer that but you.

I'm not sure about the tech in your Phonaks, but the new Jabra Enhance Pro 20 have the new AuraCast technology which will probably become standard in public places like movies and churches. I'm returning my 4 month old Pro 10's for the Pro 20's for this feature.

no sir, they have to be calibrated using the fitting software, while they are in your ears. And costco will not fit a hearing aid without verifying audibility with REM verification. That too, requires your ears. Both of them!

I’ve been having trouble getting hearing aid’s because the Costco won’t let me know what the Codes are for the hearing aid’s. My insurance company wants me to get pre authorization first before buying because of my benefit options. Do you know what the code numbers are?

ya they probably want the icd codes or diagnosis codes. It depends what kind of hearing loss you have. This has been a very recent problem, we have always been told that we dont participate with any insurance, however... we recently were told that we need to start contacting certain insurance companies on behalf of the member for this "pre authorization" thing. This is all brand new and we are trying to figure everything out so try as much as you can to be patient, we will contact your insurance company and get it going. I just found out about this a couple of days ago and i imagine within a week or so, all of the costcos will be on the same page.

I chose the Rexton BiCore "C R-Li T" at Costco before I discovered Brian's channel. My choice was based on several other independent reviews I found online, none of which were as informative, honest, or in-depth as Brian does. I was using 6-year-old Signia's up until I got the Rexton HA's fitted last week. I was really struggling with hearing and understanding people with the Signia aids, and usually had them turned all the way up on "Reverberant Room" setting. I've only had the Rexton BiCore's for a week now, but I have been blown away at how much they are allowing me to hear, just on the "normal" automatic setting. I was in a small group of about 12 people last night, and even people I always struggled being able to hear and understand, were 100% copyable. The day before, in a church lobby with music coming from many speakers, I was able to hold a conversation with a lady. I kept thinking I'd have to switch to the Party/Crowd setting or the Reverberant Room setting, but the normal automatic setting worked amazingly well, with both the volume and balance at the normal settings. I even heard my clothes dryer's end-of-cycle beep coming from the basement when I was at the kitchen table. Never heard that before. I have not been in a crowded restaurant with hard-surface ceilings, walls, and floors, yet, but looking forward to seeing how well the Rexton's perform in those venues. Oh, and they are so comfortable and natural sounding, that I forget I even have them on. No, I do not work for Rexton, nor do I work for Costco. I know each brand has their good and bad points, and they will all get the job done in very similar ways, and they all have their quirks. But, so far, I give the Rexton BiCore aids five stars.
