Try pulling the fuse and see if that helps. You could also unhook the battery for a while and see if that brings it back to life. Otherwise you would need to replace one or the other. Since it’s a digital signal, it’s not really possible to troubleshoot the amp aside from checking that power is getting to it with a multimeter.

If you want everything in one, just get a double DIN stereo with an RCA input for a backup camera. Otherwise you can replace your mirror with a screen. I made a video about what I did here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZurp5aCe5Z8frc

what's your ipad generation ? , I saw that you are using spilt view please answer me because I'm buying an ipad can I do it on first or second generation?
@ScottSchramm2 жыл бұрын
The iPad mini in was a second generation, it did not natively support split view, but the iPad was jailbroken so I installed a tweak which unlocked it. The larger iPad I ended up using full time is an iPad Air 2 which was supported. Here are the models that Apple officially support: discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-12181

Hi Scott, it's a long time really but I wanted to ask you if we can just mount any 8" Android tablet and install Android Auto on it. My question being, Is there any way I can connect my smartphone with the tablet and connect the tablet with the car speakers. I'm quite a noob here but i need a plug and play solution.

I’m not sure about Android. I never liked their short lifespan. I’m sure you could install a custom rom or something to do what you are looking for.

Do you know of anything about a unit for Apple CarPlay for the 2011-2014 Sonata? Can't seem to find anything but if I can find something before you get back I'll let ya know.
@ScottSchramm3 жыл бұрын
There is no way for the factory system in the 2011-2014 to work with Apple CarPlay. You need to replace the headunit in order to add that capability.

@ScottSchramm7 жыл бұрын
Almost every head unit has a 3.5mm plug for a steering wheel control interface input. As long as you have that, along with the PAC adapter, you will be able to retain all the controls.

Good Information, My question was how does the Ipad interact with the Radio is the Radio just taking Audio from ipad or can you actually control the Radio from the Ipad and Radio does the XM AM FM etc?
@ScottSchramm5 жыл бұрын
The headunit as an app call Pioneer ARC which you install on the iPad. That allows the control. The connection can be USB or Bluetooth. The headunit can connect to AM/FM/XM and the iPad can act as a "controller" to display the song info and allow station changes, etc. Hope that helps!

It's not an issue at all. The controls are lower but still 100% accessible. If you have the car in park, the gear shifter is kinda in the way but when in drive its pulled back and much more visible. Here are some pictures of the difference: imgur.com/a/m2qekZH

I actually saw this earlier today and currently am in contact with the seller of this listing to make sure that it is fact the dimensions radio and not infinity. The cost of the parts alone for an aftermarket install is in the $250 range not including the radio itself

That deck looks exactly like my OEM dimension head unit. To my knowledge, only the NAV systems had "Infinity", I think the seller just has the name wrong.

@russellkirby89966 жыл бұрын
Just curious as to what you did with the original unit that came with the car and if u are interested in selling it?
@ScottSchramm6 жыл бұрын
I still have all the original parts and plan on keeping them so if I end up selling the car I could revert it back to stock if needed.
Why go through all that and not change out the stock speakers. I have a 2011 Sonata and the stock system is junk. Drop a set of components up front and a small sub in the trunk. 5 channel amp and it would he lightyears better.
@ScottSchramm5 жыл бұрын
I already added two 12's, the rest of the speakers are just fine. It was $50 for the part to retain the factory amp and was plug and play. To replaces the speakers would have been at least $200 plus the labor of ripping apart the doors to install them. Note that there is a BIG difference between the standard stereo and the Dimension system. If I had the base model, I would absolutely rip all that stuff out!

@@CalebCutz - Yes, you can't adjust the fader from the head unit, but you can connect the PAC unit to your PC, run their app, and that will allow you to adjust the fader if you need to. (I personally just leave everything centered but if you need to move it a notch forward or backward, go for it)
