Have you tried either brush??? Which one is your favorite?
@karlaperdomo31243 жыл бұрын
I had long thick hair and I ended up with shoulder length hair, thanks to the Revlon Brush, because of the extreme Heat this brush produces all my ends got fried, I kept buying all high end hydrating and moisturizing products you can imagine, getting my hair trimmed and nothing until my hair stylist asked what tool I use to dry my hair at home and she immediately told me to stop using it, she recommended the Dry Bar, I went to Ulta, got it and now my hair is happy and healthy. The Revlon one might give you temporary smooth results but it does burn your hair strands, Sorry but I rather have healthy long hair, its a no for Revlon and yes for drybar. At the end, you get what you pay for.

yes thats exactly my concern because i am not sacrificing my whole head of hair for temorary results. Im considering the dry bar or the dyson one cus at least its not horrible heat

Me too! I always had soft hair and even though I only used it for the quickest style, not to dry the revlon killed my hair. I just wanted to know if the dry bar is really safe? And are you still happy with it? I love how they make your hair pretty but not enough to ruin my hair. Thank you for any information!!

Also, I got an email from Amazon recently, saying not to use Revlon anymore because apparently someone got electrocuted🤦🏻♀️

You literally don't even have to put it on high heat. You can use low and cool rotation, or just use the cool setting after running warm for a minute and you'll just get warm air. If you fried your hair, that's honestly your fault for not taking that precaution and knowing what's too hot and turning it down. That isn't the fault of the tool at all.

Your hair definitely looks prettier with more volume on the Drybar side. The Revlon brush has a reputation of damaging hair over time because of the high heat.
@Hellkittenn3 жыл бұрын
So, tip for the heat with the Revlon. Run it off of your hair for about 30 seconds on low or high. Let it start to heat, let the metal heat up. Then, switch it to cool. Cool will still end up being warm because of the metal. I did that the other day for the first time and my hair actually came out even more gorgeous and bouncy than when I use the low heat.

I find sometimes with hair tools...especially ones with a bristle brush, our hair products and natural oils get locked in there. Product and natural hair oils remain even if you meticulously clean it after every use. A lot of these demos I've seen are comparing the Revlon brush that they have been using regularly and the dry bar brush is a first time use. All that to say the dry bar side was probably lighter and less coated feeling because it was brand new. I wonder how it would hold up after a few months of regular use. Is it easy to clean? Does hair and product build up in it?

I love my Revlon! Nice review thanks! Personally, I always use the cool setting ("cool" button helps seal the hair cuticle, setting the final look for longer lasting hold and cools) immediately after I'm done with a strip of hair on the high setting and I don't burn myself. The cool setting serves a great purpose. 😊

Thank you for this honest comparison! I only buy cruelty-free, so I’ve been researching options and considering the Drybar. I have thick, long, wavy hair, but I’m glad the Drybar still seems like a good alternative to the Revlon, even if it takes a little bit longer. I also get that oily feeling from my hair after a day or 2 of wearing it straight. It was interesting that you noticed that with the Revlon.
@ladychebli4 жыл бұрын
ELH10508 thank you for watching! I totally agree with you. I’ve been using the dry bar for quite some time now and I’m loving it!

I’m happy to see someone else mention it too. I think the Revlon is ideal for courser, curlier hair whereas the Drybar one is more fit for my hair type, fine and straight. I have the Hot Tools one right now but I think I’m going to save some money and get the Drybar one in the future after seeing this!

Great, great review! This is only video that brought up the difference of the bristles. I think that's why Revlon creates a lot less static because its boar bristle. Also, great conclusion. I have watched so many videos about the comparison of these two brushes. Most of them prefer Revlon, however it really depends on what hair types you have.

Good review. Thanks. I like your results with Drybar better. Revlon gives you a **wee** more shine, but it lacks volume. Drybar is much more voluminous & lively. My question would be regarding these differencrs: how do both hold up to humid climates??

Thank you so much for your honest review! I feel like people who have used Revlon for so long can be biased to other tools. I have been looking towards the Revlon for a while but honestly wasn't 100% sure to purchasing. I have thin hair and honestly I don't need the shine and was worried it will make my hair more flat that is already is. However, what I have been noticing, the Revlon is good for people who have thick full set of hair. It would be benefit them more for sure. I'll definitely will invest into the Drybar tool and treat myself for my birthday! Thank you SO much.

Hi! I am so happy you found my video helpful! I totally relate to not wanting high shine or sleek hair. I have always struggled with oily hair because its fine! You might also like the video I just posted about a DIY hair mask for oily hair. This is great because it creates much wanted volume!!! Try the mask at home and let me know your thoughts! It changed the game for me. Hopefully it will do the same for you! Good luck!!!

You said the drybar gives you static and it pulls your hair. Was it because the product was new or do you still feel that? And what about the shine? I don’t want to purchase the revlon because I feel it is too hor and it will damage my hair! Btw, great video!

Camila Talamás thank you darling!!! I’ve been using the dry bar brush now for a over a month, and I find that it does a beautiful job. There’s no static anymore, but the shine isn’t as noticeable as the revlon. I don’t use my revlon brush as much anymore because of how oily my hair gets right away.

My Revlon just died on me. I've only had it for about 11 months. It just went quiet and super hot. But yes, it gave me shiny hair but boy it got hot. So I think I'll get the Drybar now as it might be a better quality product. A good example of you get what you pay for.

I would like to know if I could use your video on Hot Air Brush tutorial as a demonstration, as it is very well recorded and your hair looks very beautiful. How do you still feel about it? I’m considering the Drybar because my hair is naturally oily. I don’t like the shiny seal some hair dryers, mostly with ionic technology, because it makes it much worse and harder to manage even with a wash.

So I have very curly hair, plus I bleached it at least four times to get it to platinum blonde. So let’s just say I have some damage and dryness. I got the revlon a little over a year ago. My hair had never looked more beautiful, it was smooth and sleek and actually seemed to be helping with the growth. I saw an add for the drybar claiming that it was better and a healthier option. From my personal opinion the revlon hands down is so much better. The day I started using the drybar my hair was dry, frizzy, poofy and had so much breakage and flyaways. It was so painful to drag it through my hair compared to the revlon. Here I am watching yet another comparison video trying to prove to myself once again that the revlon is better😂!

Don't use the highest heat with the revlon. Also, side note, using good conditioner isn't the only thing that makes a difference in your hair. You also need a great shampoo... Really makes a difference. Do you think the light coming from one side makes a difference with the shine...? I have friends that have the complete opposite experience and the exact same. Also with super kinky hair love the dry bar and visa versa... It's so interesting.

Looking at your hair, your Revlon side makes your hair look more flat, and also looks like you need to trim your hair. The Dry Blow does not make you look like you need to trim your hair. Why the Revlon separates so much, maybe it is because of the high heat. Personally, I am trying to replace a Hauteness blowout brush that I truly enjoyed. It gave me the volume and shine while being lightweight.

Honestly, The more and more I am using my drybar brush, the more I am liking it. In comparison, i think i am beginning to like my drybar brush way more than the revlon because it doesn't leave my hair feeling oily the next day. As for the dyson, It is my favorite of the 3. I can do more with it... my only gripe would be that the brush heads and the heads on the dyson air wrap are much smaller, and take a bit longer. I hope that helps!!! I love my dyson, but it really depends on the day. Dyson is my "BIG HAIR and going out somewhere special" tool drybar / revlon are now my daily or quick on the go blow out brushes.! xo Mona
