Anyone who has wavy hair can understand this: your hair is sometimes curly/wavy and sometimes straight,but most of the times you have 3 patterns: curly,wavy,and straight all in one😂. And please tell me I’m not the only one whose hair is like this👀🥲🤞. My hair was very long in the beginning,so I didn’t get that much waves or curls. Then one day I went to shorten my hair(I didn’t shorten my hair for the hope that my waves would come back,I’d shorten it because it was tooo hot 🥵,and my hair was very sweaty)…….I wanted my hair to be short till my shoulders,but the lady said that she didn’t want my hair to be that short,so she’d just cut a few layers,and then straightened my hair(cause I’ve actually decided to go with straight hair for the rest of my life),and boom……that same night all my wavy/curly hair came back😂😂. Not even on single hair was straight,it is really curly/wavy till now!

Me too. My bangs, and mid section of my hair has curls (mostly at the bottom part of my hair) and then the other parts are usually straight wavy. Sometimes a forth of my hair will have ringlet type curls, but the rest of my hair will be wavy/straight. But my curly days seem random. And then when I brush my hair it usually takes a lot of the curl out. So difficult! But yes I can relate!

Yep in 60's long hair some is tight curls, one side has a straight chunk some have waves I think with time it might look better then the mess it is now, too processed and dark dye look black so going cold turkey (gray) so want to get my hair in better condition, hopefully it will work, currently I just washed out all that stuff and want to just wash and condition and mask a bit of oil, yet not sure when to add gel being tried 2 times and it looked ick, and stiff and soft and frizz, no matter I get frizz gather it takes time. And no matter if the dryer is on low instant frizz, ugh

My hair grows super slow, and I take biotin w/keratin and it is now past my shoulders. I hate it because it makes me look older, but I was so surprised to see how curly my hair is. how do hard cast gels work?
@_Avogato3 жыл бұрын
@@jennie-yy1fe You basically just scrunch in the gel when your hair is very wet, then don't mess with the curl pattern until it is dry. So if you air dry, don't touch your hair with your hands until it's 100% dry. If you diffuse, same thing. Once your hair is completely dry you can scrunch out the hard cast with your hands and it'll leave your hair curled and soft. I use an oil to scrunch out the hair cast, so maybe try that!

I’ve struggled with getting it right now that my hair has gone gray and I’ve only had frizz even though my hair is naturally curly. I am going to start using your suggestions. Never thought about the microfiber towel even thou I use them on my car! Also, I don’t ever use a hair dryer because I thought heat was bad at any level, but I’m gonna start using one. I got my wife a Dyson hair dryer, so I’m gonna have to see if it has a defuser, if not I’m gonna buy my own dryer/defuser combo. Everything you said makes sense! Gel is supposed to make your hair hard. Its called a cast. When it does that, it's essentially making a curler our of product to hold it until it takes shape. When its completely dry, you can take a cotton t shirt and scrunch it like you do your conditioner or whatever, and it will soften up and look great. If you love the jelly, use it! But finding this out about gel changed my life. Definately was a crispy noodle head in high school

I have curly hair and one thing that I use as live-in conditioner is 1 part coconut oil+ 1 part glycerine + 4 parts water. i have 3b curls and a really great tip that i learned is to never shampoo your ends! they are already the driest part of our hair so adding shampoo to them will only dry them out more. also, focus your conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends of your hair, not your scalp! putting conditioner on your scalp can create oily roots and product buildup. it is also really great to use sulfate, silicone, and paraben free products because these substances are very harmful to hair. i hope this helps anyone that might need it!

I've tried everything from frizz ease/drug store to expensive no frizz products to sulfate free and deep moisturizers. Long story short I was brushing out my waves so it was poofy and when I clumped my curl patterns it was way better. I still have poof for sure, but using products meant to condense/define waves and curls that actually does the job where before I was trying to 'fix' my frizz problem as if there was something 'wrong' with my hair/what I was doing to it.
