Comparing The Seiko SARY057 To The SARB033

These two watches look very similar at first. I highlight what they have in common and how they differ. Both of these JDM watches are harder to find now that they are discontinued.
You might wonder why I have both these watches in the collection if so similar. It's because I got the SARY057 at a time when I was looking for SARB033 alternatives and didn't think I would later find a SARB at a reasonable price.

Forgot to mention that both watches are 100 Meters water resistant and have push pull crowns

I will say this - I got a SARY057 because I couldn't justify the extra price for the sarb (basically over double for an extremely similar look) I am loving the SARY057 and don't regret my decision at all - highly reccomend it

Yeah. I finally decided to sell my 057 but still have the SARY055 👍

I believe the customs duties come in at $800 or over. I bought a Christopher Ward (new) for around $1,000 and got nailed with $150 in customs fees 😅. Great video :)

@@watchify1775 yeahhh CW shipped it, and DHL held it at customs in NY and wouldn’t release it unless I paid $150ish in various fees. About $50 was for customs, and DHL charged $100 for “shelving fee” while the documents were processing. Total scam on DHL’s part!! They charge ~$30 a day to store it while US Customs does the paperwork. Unfair to the customer because we have no control over this process, and it’s guaranteed customs will take at least a few days to do the paperwork. Never using DHL again lol

I just recently purchased the latest Seiko SARV 033 from Japan 🇯🇵. It’s actually a more affordable version of the SARY057 😊👍🏻

Those are all over ebay selling for well below 200$ US ! Lume on hands even. Nice watch if you like the chapter ring with numerals

Oh no. The SARB is permanent member of collection. All SARB033's are JDM as far as I'm aware. I see many pre-owned for sale on ebay under 500 USD.

My opinion on some models evolve as I spend more time with them. There are some watches were I initially felt a connection to, but after experiencing other models, I would later consider selling.
