Out of the many SLO demos that premiered today, I really thought it was cool that you simply played your guitars and left it up to the listener to make their own interpretation of the pedals closeness to the amp. So glad that I watched your demo last.

When I heard the pedal came out, the first thing I did was hit Bea’s channel…. Vid wasn’t up yet. When I got home I checked again. This was a pleasant surprise.

You absolute tonesmith. I'm starting to think you could make literally any piece of gear sound good.
@jessebreakspear66562 жыл бұрын
That's probably because he's not vapid and dumb. with enough experimentation and listening, and sometimes modifying or adding another pedal like for example a treble booster pedal you can make any piece of gear sound good

@@Utube-s8m I tried going back through his videos but couldn't find his definitive answer, LOL! But at almost $500.00 a pop for the Josefinas, I'll go with a set of Bare Knuckles.

That strat tone at the end... The only thing I would suggest would be to use the pedal with different amp, as the real SLO 100 will retain some of its character and most of us will not use a real SLO 100 with it.

wow, they were close! I noticed the amp sounded a little more splat-ey and sticky so I liked it a teeny tiny bit better but once you factor in drums and bass, vocals, maybe keys, or whatever other instruments I seriously doubt it would matter much. I would say its expensive for a pedal but cheap compared to buying the amp.

Great demo and playing Rabea! I've been considering a high-gain pedal for a while, and was considering an Amptweaker Fat Metal (based on your playing on TPS with Dan and Mick), but I almost think that this sounds more versatile. Based on your playing on those actual pedals, and the fact that so many things are hard to find in person right now, which would you prefer for your own rig between the Fat/Tight Metal and the Soldano?

Obviously, The multi Thousand pound amp sounded better, But for a pedal it sounds dam close. Very impressive. If you can't afford a Soldano and/or just want the Soldano flavour, this is definitely a great option.

@Bacontruffle2 жыл бұрын
While the pedal doesn't quite sound nearly as ballsy, and to my ears the amp itself sounds a lot more "full", this has to be absolutely amazing for a gigging musician who wants to have that Soldano sound without having to bring an expensive actual amp with him Or you could use NeuralDSP's Soldano plugin, but that's a bigger hassle
@Bacontruffle2 жыл бұрын
@Bloom Tik Bloom Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose though...?
@Bacontruffle2 жыл бұрын
@Bloom Tik Bloom I'm not quite sure what you're talking about here... the zvex distortion isn't a pre-amp pedal like this is, you're not going to emulate a Soldano with that. Why I said it kinda defeats the purpose is that - like I said in my original comment - in my eyes this pedal shines at being an easy way to get a good Soldano tones on the move without having to bring the whole amp. If you're having to mix a bunch of pedals, that kinda defeats the purpose. At that point, just bring your laptop and an Audio Interface, the Soldano plugin from NeuralDSP is the closest thing you can get without actually having a Soldano amp, anyways.

Considering the fact the pedal is going into the imput of a real slo, with all the power amp tube stages and the same IR. The difference is huge. BTW a great pedal but unfortunately not magic. For now the only way I could find to steal my best friend’s slo was to make advanced ToneX captures last week. It smokes my kemper and my AxefxIII and bring me the slo feel. Good with a Charvel AND with a Stratocaster on neck position. THE slo sound. Tasty.

Damn close your eyes at 2:21 and you wouldn't notice the difference
@stanislavmigra2 жыл бұрын
First couple licks were off, but you managed to get them darn close. They certainly both kids of same father. Pedal is tighter with some extra fizz, while amp sound less controlled but HUUUGE. As one will expect from solid state pedal vs tube amp.
