I prefer the cable connection. Had too much lag from the drive by wire and I just didn't feel my foot was connected to the throttle.

I can imagine a tiny delay with drive by wire due to processing speed between when the pedal position changes and when the throttle body is commanded open but I don't believe it would be significant or noticeable. Some cars definitely have a delay programmed in from the factory, but that is only a tune away from being fixed.

I have sonic and it's got to be one of the worst throttle response vehicles I've owned. I have upgraded LNF tb tuned on and still a delay and little to no improved throttle response. I've pretty much given up on improving throttle response and delay.

I hate drive by wire I've been in chargers and buicks and all in between. Always feels so damn sluggish and mushy!

If ETC had no downsides I'd love it, but any time I get in a car with that all the skill and precision I have developed just goes out of the window. Same with clutch delay "valves". There's absolutely no good reason a *good* driver would need one. There's no benefit and it makes you look like an amateur. What used to be a good, direct, hydraulic connection is now useless and laggy. I get it, Americans can't _not_ dump clutches, but it ruins it for anyone with a modicum of skill.
