Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots fit my feet well. No matter what the shoe is made with, or what they charge, it has to fit.

Nice to see the best quality at different price points. My dad was a landscaper and getting the best you could afford was an important but difficult undertaking before the internet. So nice to have all this info now 👍.

Love my 1000 mile boots. Bought on sales, have less than 600.00 in three pair. They feel like slippers, the materials may be junk, but they feel good and look good.

If someone doesn’t like Luos Jiet then they don’t have to buy from them. But there is no denying that they are a tremendous value. Even that $500 boot he features here is well worth the money. And I wish people would stop referring to the Wolverine 1000 mile as a “$400 boot” because nobody pays anywhere near that. Not hard to find them for 40% or more off retail.

I thought you had a typo on the thumbnail when I saw $500 Lous Jiet.

Question. Luosjiet has a boot they call their Fight Boot with a brogue cap toe and V-bar style outsole. Does anyone know what the original model is?
@jj4483love16 сағат бұрын
Many boot companies were contracted to make boondocker and service boots for the wars. They looked the same with the same specs. Multiple watch companies made the same watches for the soldiers. Luos Jiet reminds me of that. You want a Viberg style service boot? 25 companies make service boots that look almost identical, you're wife can't even tell the difference. Luos Jiet just cuts the BS and doesn't pretend they are not trying to be Viberg...who also copied from previous military patterns. Nothing new under the sun.

Biggest issue I see is no speed hooks. At least for the work boots.

I definitely agree with what you said about the 1000 mile boots. Comfortable but definitely purchase only when it's on sale (which happens quite often). You compared those lousjiet to Viberg but do they fit like the famous 2030 Viberg last? It's still my favorite last till this day.
@YouShoe-198521 сағат бұрын
@@M1_u very similar to the 2030 but the heel seems a little tighter with luisjiet

Have wanted to try Luosjiet but so far no response for my width issues.

Isn’t the owner of Louis Jet the owner XBS boot factory? They make some really high end boots. It’s an homage boot, there are TONs of those out there.

$500 for Chinese boots is wild. Unless its bespoke like from Flame Panda or Quan Shoemaker. I can understand paying luxury prices for brands that are handmade by 1 man
@ryanpiyo9821 сағат бұрын
Flame Panda and Quan cost in excess of 700USD easily. XBXS and Luosjiet raised their prices significantly once the western market caught on to them. The Luosjiet Indy boot was under 200 at the beginning, now they are 230-260. Losing their value proposition kills the brand for me.

Trumans are my kind of boots. 1000 miles are crap , dievier definitely needs to be checked out. Really coming from a guy who weras Nick's and Whites , I really think you should consider " value" over the price point alone.

Dudeeeee, but the whole "heritage" market revolves around copying!! That's not a good excuse. Out all the boots you showed, only wolverine is a heritage brand. That's something i don't get. People talk trash on Allen Edmonds, The Indy boot, but instead of supporting true heritage brands and try to given input they go and buy boots from people that literally started making boots less than ten years ago. i would admit that maybe I'm just to disappointed at the fact that a while ago and bought a pair of clinch cowboy boots just to end up super disappointed and then i started thinking "why did I do that when we have excellent craftsman making cowboy boots in the South West. The boots just didn't compare.

Good point
@Kpoppin4life200717 сағат бұрын
The real world isn’t that diabolical. Rather than worrying about supporting brands as some kind of statement, people are worried about supporting themselves and simply purchase the best they can personally afford.
@Marx_Ramone17 сағат бұрын
@@Kpoppin4life2007 I respect that, but let's not criticize stuff because they're copies. Every single company with less than 50 years on the market is copying someone, in one way or another.
@ryanpiyo988 сағат бұрын
@Marx_Ramone In this particular case, yes, Clinch is probably not the best place to go for cowboy boots. There are many alternatives and cowboy boot specialists in America. And the talk of heritage brands, people trash some of them because many have become zombie brands like Frye and Chippewa. Retained the name but essentially bastardised to producing cheap cemented footwear.
