I am in the middle of a Mormon kick on KZbin (I’ve never been Mormon so it’s all new to me) and holy SHIT you are so right!! Edward didn’t want to have sex with Bella for fear he would lose control and kill/eat her. Sex as a sin next to murder. Literally. And about the Quilette tribe, ContraPoints said: “Oh god, are they the Laminites?”

Also don’t forget the theme of eternal family! In the end, Bella and the Cullens and Renesmee are all happy beautiful immortal beings.

The fact that this church has 17 million members says a lot about the intelligence of our species.

What a load of bullshit. Like completely bulldozing the actual lore and worldbuilding of the series to fit some weird biased agenda you have going on. Literally everything in this video can be explained sensibly by the lore and not by someone purposefully taking bits and pieces of these books to fit a narrative. Of course there are certain elements in any book that might have been introduced by its author either consciously or subconsciousl, people r only human of course but to the degree to which you are warping this woman's book is insulting and downright ludicrous 🤢

Don't forget that the resurrection is no longer a perfect body for everyone. If you live a telestial life, you'll have a telestial body aka TK Smoothie.

You can put Mormonism into fiction, but you can't take the fiction out of Mormonism.

At first, I thought you were going to be talking about The Twilight Zone… 🤦🏻♀️ Great content as always 💕

Mormonism *IS* like entering The Twilight Zone in a lot of ways!

Don’t forget,That when they fall in love with someone, that love is forever. They will never fall in love with someone else, the vampires at least in her world. Due to the fact that when something happens to them it becomes permanent. That’s why she explains that Edward is technically literally like a 17-year-old, because he was turned when he was 17. Not that I’m condoning it or anything, but it’s some thing I noticed. I see that sort of connection with Mormonism, since they believe that once they are married, once they are in love it is a forever thing that it is impossible to fall out of.

Yes, I know, the first female tribe member to transform into a werewolf is Leah - significantly, she is also infertile (premature menopause I think).

I want to say I'm shocked to learn Meyer's from LSD but I'm not. So much cases of child sexual abuse in that church. I find it really tiring to try to understand someone's metaphors. I just wanna know about Meyer's real life events that inspired Twilight. Analogies, parallels and metaphors can make a story compelling and they also make it very confusing.

It seems to me that, when she start writing the novels, Meyer was a goody-two-shoes religious good girl, who firmly believed in everything she was taught and wrote in accordance to that. But when she started to go across the world to promote the books, she began to see that the world was a lot more than she was taught and that women could be a lot more than just a mere companion of men; and now she keeps on denying her strong religious views on the four books afraid to look like a bumpkin

I think that was a massive stretch. You can do that with any religion.
