I got a fake QFR1212GHE too. Mine also had the rough blade surface, but the sticker on the back is exactly the same as a genuine Delta fan. Also, mine doesn't run at all, the motor jerks a bit and then stops.

@@BGTech1 its true, i agree with your opinion, I usually get genuine fans through people who like to sell computer scrap at flea markets, and the goods are guaranteed to be genuine, which is sold on ebay / aliexpress so to be more precise it is a cheap chinese product imitating a well known product

I got a ffb1212sh that has a plastic core and has flimsier build quality. It blows the same amount of air but it doesn't feel as solid, I have another ffb1212sh that feels heavy, rigid and blows the same amount of air, this one has a metal core and a gold colored ring. Is the first ffb1212sh fake? Or is it newer build? How can I find out?

Even as fakes these are impressive , I bought one of Aliexpress and it was a guarantied fake as this is discontinued by Delta. Runs at 3400 rpm, been using it for over a year and still going strong I'll say better than Noctua's industrials and Corsair's AF120 elites. Quality control is definitely an issue of the three I bought after, one is really wobbly but works, down the line change the bearings 693ZZ. FUSHI is the cheapest Chinese good quality brand that offers bearings at a reasonable price. You can do an amp test at full load 1.24 amp is the max pull at start but runs above an amp , the fake ones are 0.78 to 0.97 amps youll have to cut the positive/negative leads and need a DMM , pass the load and check the amps.

a little stronger, because they have a little bit more current 5 Amps, but the 5A is only slightly equal to the nidec ultraflo 3A
