Considering how much cheaper DX9 is for what you get, I just can't see them as a loss.

Having both...I think it was a win for DX9 to even make this comparison. Obviously Fans Toys doing ultra-premium figures is going to be better overall, but DX9 were punching above their class. I think a better comparison would be DX9 vs XTB in which DX9 takes it for me. It's a shame DX9 isn't putting out new figures, because they could have been a good MP toy maker to fill that niche for collectors who don't want to spend stupid high ultra-premium prices. As for price...I got my DX9 car bots around $90ish and motor master for $145 when they came out.

Thank you for your excellent review. I got Henry because I hit that wave of reissues by DX9 and it seemed a good opportunity to me. I also liked their Menasor. Finally, there was a substantial difference in price: $65 for Henry versus $200 for Magnum -at least where I buy from. Two minor things bother me in Henry: a) that distinct piece of clear plastic in the window shield which breaks the continuity and b) that visible line of separation in the middle of the hood (as those parts are untabbed during transformation). But they're definitely not deal breakers :)

DX9 looks to be a bit of a floppy mess. I just hope that Fans Toys' combined mode Menasor is as good as the individual bots have been so far.

I owned both the DX9 and Fanstoys Stunticons (up until Fanstoys released Wildrider) and Fanstoys just blows DX9 out of the water. That is only logical because you pay almost double for FT when compared to DX9. In my opinion DX9 is the budget option, and if you have the disposable cash, go for FT. Thanks for the comparison! 😎

Another comparison! great work on showing the pros and cons with both. While I never handled the FT, I do like the DX9 Henry. It doesn't have the paint chip issues that the DX9 Breakdown experiences, and while very skinny..can pose well and looks the part. Can't wait for the Capone reissue so I can get him and Dead End and build this combiner. I'll provide all the FT followers a few Snickers candy bars while they wait for their set to...be completed.

How much does the DX9’S head wobble just handling it!! Too slim a profile for me, and shoulder joints don’t seem to be big enough. In hand comparisons are better but after seeing this, Fantoys wins for me

@@MaVeRiCk77 Too bad it takes an hour, and a few adult beverages to get it all together and honestly, it doesn't look that different. As for Wildrider's bobble, if you're looking for it and trying to make it wobble...you'll be successful. But mine I can make a pose, adjust the head and it stays in place without fail. Great piece and it doesn't have the paint issues that Breakdown experienced

@@MWRogers u always bring up breakdown when the 📹 is about wildrider, i have Fanstoys breakdown and I have transformed him quite a bit and not 1 paint chip, hes 1 of Fanstoys best offering especially his articulation yes he's a little skinny but so is ur dx9 wildrider but in hand it really doesn't show, just how im sure it doesn't bother u with the dx9 wildrider, and yup ur right im getting really getting Aggravated w8n 4 Fanstoys 2 drop there Dead-end so I 🤔 i might t8ke u up on that offer of the snickers bar 🤣🤣👍 take care bro ✌

As someone who owns henry and not magnum it's clear right out of the gate who's better but Im still happy with my decision because my endgame is menasor once capone is reissued. Dx9 played the game clean, you knew halfway through how menasor would perform, what it would cost and how it would scale using zeta/toyworld as the benchmark. I was going to go xtb but that trailer was a low blow and in the end it didnt perform and fanstoys now have people by the balls and they haven't figured it out which is just poor planning given the commitment required from both sides. I would genuinely not be surprised if fanstoys menasor comes close to 1k to complete. Thats my bias confirming rant over😅

All I’ve ever seen is ft vs transbots. Transbots are lovely, but the less you mess with them, the better. It’s interesting to see how large dx9 is. I really like both of them, but, it seems (as bsf mentioned) Ft might end up having a combiner that’s too heavy. Ft looks great, but at what cost both monies and combining?

Yes the trailer debacle hurt, especially how the “toy and g2” seem to have all accessories included and in the pics looks like they mighta fixed somethings. I wish I could afford all three. I love the stunticons as well, but that road just got too expensive

Awesome Comparison Buddy, my 2nd Fave FT only beaten by Cyclonus. Unlike DragStrip, DX9 did not do a great job here; too much something that is worth very little of nothing. If DX9 would had used rachets in the shoulders and legs, It would be closer but with all the Articulation and no Control is a Fail. Also the Heft of Magnum is just Insane. I'm biased here FTs Magnum Hands down.

Agreed man. At least DX9 finished their figure, it combines without being a pain in the arse like XTB, It looks good without all these bells and whistles that some expect and DeFAN at every angle. I have all but Dead End and Capone to complete my Menasor and I can't wait for it. Definitive version for me.

FAAAANNSTOOOOOYYYSSSSS! ps. dx9 is basically a step above chug at this point with some few exceptions; Gabriel for example. FT defines masterpiece in a way that even Takara cannot compete with, with some older bots being the exception.

Its an easy win for Fanstoys, dx9's wildrider's head is just like a bobble head 🤪🤣🤣, the hands r wack, sculpt wack, all around wack 🤣🤣🤣, im just having fun but u can 👀 how 2yrs makes a big difference, I 👂 we're supposed 2 get Dead-end this yr, I know I spoke 2 an Asian seller and taobao had p.o. go up for him last week, but a major port was shut down this week cause of covid, so I just 🙏🙏🙏 2 God we finally get him and enough with the delays cause if he doesn't come out this yr then 2022 and that's 3yrs w8n for him that's really ridiculous...anyways thanks Sony for the VS 📹🙏🙏👍
