It's funny that all these 3rd party company's are doing a Menasor and this year 2022 Hasbro is doing a chug scale Menasor. We just saw yesterday to the box art for Motormaster. lol. I do like that legends scale proto type one and I'm wondering if it would fit into the iron factory scale with their combiners. It does have a more stylized look / IDW feel.

I have my Xtransbots Menasor and DX9 Menasor so I’m good, I’m done worrying about Fanstoys Dead End. At this point I’m not that excited about it anymore. I’ll get it when I get it, bring on Fortress/ Cerebros Headmaster. I am more eager to get Fanstoys Superion done when it comes to their combiners.

Funny he mentions a ‘fill the gap’ type company as during the early part of the vid I was trying to remember the name of the company that did the more G1 looking motormaster that fit with the combiner wars limbs (and I think even made the combined menasor a bit taller?). I’m not sure if the volume would be large enough to sustain a “fill the figure gap” company for 3Ps… it’s a niche of a niche of a niche. At least the current (and literal) fill the gap companies for mainline, cost saving, hollowed out shortcuts have a significantly larger potential audience of customers.

So I started a thread on TFW2005 regarding getting info about combiners from Fanstoys. People are flipping their lid calling me "entitied" and a "baby"! It always strikes me as odd that people are willing to roll over and defend the corporation rather than the consumer. I have all the figures they released, 4 stunticons and 3 arialbots to the tune of over $900.00. I'm not sure why I'm entitled. Is it entitled when you fund a kickstarter, it fails and you get nothing and you are upset? I'm sure fanstoys are working on this problem but all I asked was that we demand info, not boycot company. I agree with Bobby here 100%. They also called me a fan boy because this video prodded me to start a thread. I bet if we flooded Fans Toys with questions they would more likely give info than if we do nothing. Maybe we would be hitting our heads against a wall but I feel I deserve some news after investing on what was basically the "fanstoys Combiner Kickstarter" .

I feel like Fanstoys peaked 3 or 4 years ago. Everything they have done recently has required us the buying community to just accept that the articulation is less and the paint is less and the delay of figures is more. We get more delays with less quality figures. I am at the age that where I have realized that I will likely be dead before they finish a combiner or that fort max. I look at my MP collection and all I can see is what has not been finished. I don't even enjoy looking at it to the point where I have taken it all down and put it on a table in my barn. There they will sit until sold or ruined by time. For me it's not about the money, even though it is bullshit value on these. For something to be labled and MP, it meant to me that there is none better. Its a masterpiece, hence, no topping it. I no longer feel we are getting this quality from Fanstoys or anyone else as each bot comes with its own lack luster. To reduce the term Masterpiece into a size category really has made me wake up to the BS quality and product we are getting from these manufacturers. I should never wish a MP figure was different. I will leave you with a food for thought idea. Do you ever feel like Hasbro specifically, but other companies are included in this, but do you ever feel like these companies intentionally don't give you their best so that you buy the next release in hopes that it turns out to be what you want?

Its kinda sad that these companies would rather make a billion of the same characters without reaching their full Potential and not doing the best they can for that one character and if they're out of characters try out a niche that hasnt been touched like UT

Since FansToys is a 3rd party company it operates in the grey area, they probably have next to zero PR, so even though they owe an explanation for dead end/combiner parts, I have zero expectations for one.

8:26 agree 100% regarding everything said about fanstoys up to this point. One reason why they might not release Dead End without the combiner parts--even though that's what the majority of us want--is because they might be worried some of us will buy the last figure and say "done," no more money into this set, forget the combiner parts. Might seem strange but I think a lot of people just want to be done and, as you've noted, fanstoys dropped the ball on this long enough for us to not care too much if ft Stunticons ever combine given there are two other okay options.

I'm actually more looking forward to you reviewing what Hasbro has up it's sleeve with the upcoming Menasor. While not your bag, some of the recent figures have gotten rather positive responses from you as of late. I know someone will send it to you...and if not I'll happily contribute :) Shout-out to Fansproject and their Intimidator. It's still my favorite release by them and while not G1 accurate, one of the most inspired designs out there and lives up to it's namesake. Probably the most intimidating combiner figure I own and the bots are all around fun to transform and pose.

Thanx 4 the video Bobby my thoughts exactly, I've always said that Menasor was gonna need a miracle to get salvaged hes wayyy to heavy I think if im not mistaken dragstrip is the heaviest(besides motormaster) and he's an arm bot like thats insane dare2727 had a discussion about this same topic and we would all agree Dead-end the figure has been done for some time now at least 3yrs, but the skeleton imo especially the arm bots will cause more than just stability issues, Imo Superion can and will be saved Menasor was their learning curve yes the legs bots are heavy but I think it should be for stability now I would like to think that the arm bots won't be as heavy and I think they learned that from Menasor unfortunately, I've heard that due to the pandemic(unicron 🤣) alot of staff interpersonal was let go plans got changed cause new designers where brought in(this is a rumor I heard from a reliable source please don't crucify me in the comments) so all that threw a kink in their plans, its very very unfortunate cause I as well love the Stunticons and would love nothing more than to get Dead-end into my collection I think as Individual bots there's NO BEATING THEM 😈💪, especially Motormaster( Fanstoys best figure imo) I wish they would at least give us an update even if it's to let us know "look we fucked up but we're trying to right the wrong" like I'm pretty sure you me and the rest of the community would definitely respect that to the fullest u said it the best transparency goes a long way... thanx🙏🙏 for another awesome sitdown Saturday 👍

Dx9, TF Legacy Menasor, and Magic Square are damn near perfect. But they are not with out their flaws Dx9 is too big and comes with an extra ratchet joint in the hip and causes the hip to break Magic Square and Legacy are close to perfect but there's going to be K.O. eventually. Ill collect them when a K.O. of either or, ill get them

Great video as always. I’m in complete agreement with you regarding the FansToys Menasor. We need Dead End!! FansToys could release him without the parts, and I’d definitely be OK with that. The same holds true for their other two Aerialbots. FansToys is my favorite 3rd party company and I have zero interest in these new recolors of Galvatron and Astrotrain. They should be updating their fans on this. Looking forward to seeing the new Dummies video you have coming.

I’ll be glad when FT finishes their combiners just so we can all talk about something else. I’m guilty too, I’m not pointing fingers. I want the excitement back for new Fanstoys figures. For me, every time they announce something new, but have yet to complete their combiners, I get a little irritated. Even though what they are announcing is cool enough, it kinda takes away from it. I still love FT, but they’ve left a sour taste lingering.

I just noticed something about that legends scale proto type. the two pictures you showed at around 13:31 and 13:42 Dragstrip in the first photo is a leg piece and in the second photo is the left arm. If each figure can be a leg or and arm that's pretty cool back to the old G1 toys that could do both. most toys now they have dedicated positions. Just something I noticed.

10:45 the transform element has been missing for at least three years in the mp line. While it's just my opinion, I always think transformation is no lesser than the accuracy of both modes simply because that's what makes transformers different from all the other robots.

Definitely agree. Between the slavish cartoon accuracy and the tedious transformations MP has lost most of its appeal to me. Add the rising cost of EVERYTHING, I'm basically bowing out of MP collecting. I'll probably sell off everyone that wasn't part of the initial 84 release this year. Baring a few of my favorite gems of course, because only a Sith deals in absolutes.

Waiting for this glut of Menasor’s to chill, I love the Stunticon’s but I’m hoping we can chill after the Hasbro release, Rising Force & the Dead-End. We still haven’t had a banger of a release of Abominus (I enjoy the Hasbro but it’s got issues), only one Monstructor that was lacking, & it’s been a long time since we’ve seen Computron. I’ll admit I’m always a little ass out on these since I don’t want slavish G1 releases and stuff that’s more modern but I’ll even take Sunbow style release for the aforementioned.

I think FansToys is putting out their toy version of Galvatron because (a) they can reuse the mold of course, and (b, more than likely) they are competing with X-Transbots who have their Galvatron coming out at that same time.

Rising force didn't make a Dead End it is a Dead End. I've got all the respect in the world for a passion project. When your intention is mass production/profit you can't make decisions based on passions. All the best wishes to the guy behind it, but I hope he doesn't manufacture this set. I hate to see creative people go broke because they backed what they wanted to do instead of what would sell. That's the problem with the whole "one Man operation", tunnel vision. I said the same on tfw, and the V-signal warriors attacked me for being negative. None of them will buy this dudes Menasor though, just like Boldforms. Everyone talks a big game about supporting indy creators until it comes time to open their wallets.

Everyone is due their opinions... and mine is that FT isn't and hasn't ever been the best 3rd Party, IMO. For a person that does not like nor want cartoon aesthetic figures, I have no need for them currently (Prior to Toon aesthetic, they had a few figs that were interesting). Most of my figs are from TW/Zeta, DX9, Wei Jiang, Hastak (early figs) and Fans Hobby. Back on topic, the road wars have been interesting to say the least. Transformission has the best squad to me, they just dont have the size. As for the teams with the size... I gotta agree with B-Skully. DX9 is holding the crown over all. Fingers crossed that Fans Hobby or DreamStar Toys jumps into the road wars!

Bobby would be content to get a fill in the gap for FT dead end that doesn’t combine, until FT releases their version with combining parts?!? It’s called get an extra DX9 version. There are more stunticons that have been/are being released to the market than there were even constructions, and I never thought I’d say/type that.

I have full confidence in Fanstoys. They make the best products. Most of the time. But also, how difficult is ot going to be to get the final product ? Their bots go up in price and are always sold out instantly. I dont jump on anything until I see the review. So if someone or I was going to wait till then, Menasor would cost close to $1200 before shipping to my country. I got 3 dx9 carbots for the price of smokey. Capone is $150. Ive also seen how the final product looks. Fanstoys will probably be better. But 2x the price better ? If fanstoys produced more reissues they would be the king of MP. People would much rather choose them.
