Come on, just in the first two shots of this video it is plain to see there is no comparison ... Scoria is a nice bot but next to Grassor he simply does not measure up.

Just based on appearences the Gigapower one just looks so much better to me. I have no interest in this character but it is a really well made character.

Great review as always. I thought it would be more balanced between the two but a very fair and reasoned comparison. Gigapower looked huge on the promo shots but scaled really well with TE-01. Thanks TMReviews

I have three MP Slags: FT, GP, and Perfect Fusion. Grassor lives with the other GP Dinobots one one shelf, PF Cesium lives with the FT Dinbots on another shelf, and FT Scoria lives with MP-08 Grimlock and XTB Wheelie on my TF: The Movie shelf (listening to Kup's stories). Couldn't bring myself to part with him, as he does look darn good with MP Grimlock. Solid comparison, thanks!

Gigapower definitely looks better. Their slag is one of the best if not the best looking in their line. Personally I think this is the best looking one. This would have been a landslide if gigapower didnt have a lot of problems. My chrome version came with very loose finger joints and reports of broken tails really kept me from transforming it. All in all gigapower takes it but not by a landslide. Excellent video! Hope you can do the sludge and swoop comparisons

Really like the review, being subjective you did need to review it against the chrome Giga, I've got the chrome Giga set & the 2 weathered versions, they have made improvements as the hands and ratchets were trash on the original Grassor. The extra cost is worth that glorious paint job.

Can't go wrong with either. My money went to Gigasaur. Comes down to size and just that much more detail, even when excluding the special paint job. What I also find interesting, is that neither company has done a complete 'Toon color accurate paint scheme. The greys, yellows and reds. No chrome or silver. Figure that'd woulda been a no brainer.

Gigapower all day long, I started with Fanstoys back in 2014, Scoria was a loose, floppy fucking mess, then I got Soar, some what tighter but still loose. Waited for a long time for the others to drop and I moved on, then Gigapower started coming out and the size was better in scale, they seemed better in terms of materials. I have all the Gigapower dinos and I’m happy with how they scale, swoop is probably the weakest of the set but otherwise they’re great.

You're right that Scoria was an early FT figure, and their first Dinobot (which explains some of his issues) but Grassor was only the second figure Gigapower had ever made.

At the moment they've only made two complete Trim Levels of the Dinobots (Crome & Metallic) and two figures out of five in the Weathered deco. However I believe they teased an Omega Supreme a few years ago, so we can only hope that is still in the works.
