12:11 I think the reason Shockwave turned purple is because those are his true colors, while the grey he had was for his disguise as Longarm. Once his mission was complete and he returned to Megatron's side, the disguise grey paint scheme was no longer necessary. Pus, it was possibly an homage to his G1 colors.

You’re right on both counts! I just thought it would be funny to say he just randomly swapped colors. Shockwave even drops a line about serving Megatron under his true colors, which has the dual meaning of him now just being himself and also him reverting to his purple color scheme.

I've always loved Shockwave. He just SCREAMS cool regardless of incarnation. Also, to add to the third party list, there was Warbotron X-Ray. A sort of legends-plus figure you built as model kit, who could be used with Warbotron itself. At the time, this was before the 3P legends scene really took off, so he was pretty cool.

One of the things that I love about Shockwave is while his personality varies from continuity to continuity, his design is always incredibly similar. The singular eye, the head-fins/antenna, and the cannon arm all remain in one form or another. The shockwaves fhat i have are the Fall of Cyberteon toy and the Gen Selects SEIGE figure that has him in the Galactic Man colors. Both ar real fun figures, with the FOC one having a fun alt mode and a sweet gimmick to give him the cannon arm, and the SEIGE armorments that not only fill out his vehicle mode, but tools him out in all sorts of fun ways.

Firstly great video of my favorite Transformer! I have 90% plus of those Laserwave/Shockwave/Shockblast toys. My favorite version to mess with is the TF Prime one (was able to meet the voice actor via Zoom conference). The best character version is from IDW more specifically the Dark Cybertron storyline. The one I want to track down the most (although not official) is the Cloud 9 Quakeblast version. So many Shockwaves, so little time:]

Honestly thank you for this video! I have been watching your shockwave reviews and this should help narrow down what shockwave i want to add to my shelf. Hes always been one of my favs but the only one i ever had as a kid was the shockwave/grimlock robot heroes. Ive been pretty tempted to get the alternators now. Have you considered doing a powerglide or seaspray many toys of? I think they could always use a little more love.

The Yolopark Shockwave is a 12 inch/30cm tall model kit, 90% same parts as their Bee Optimus kit because the CGI models recycled parts. It released a few years ago, and retails around 200 dollars, not counting greedy resellers. Hass like 800-900ish parts and is an extremely detailed model, although it'd take a fair while to assemble, I want to get it because Yolopark's kits are awesome, I can't wait for their large scale Optimus and Megatron DOTM kits

@@ronbondujon9690 Yeah, I typically see it for around 200 bucks on Amazon, although idk about availability and price in non US regions. Their Optimus is a solid kit, nothing really fiddly on him except the head construction, so Shockwave should be just as solod since they share the same frame and various other parts, also the size and presence of a 30cm robot is great to display, no glue required either, just nippers and a fair amount of time. They're basically the closest you'll get to having replicas of the designs that isn't a Prime1 statue that costs like almost a year of rent lol. I hope Yolopark keeps the license to make these super detailed TF movie kits

Shockblast in _Energon_ was a real maniac, even going so far as to usurp control of Unicron from Megatron. (Believe me, we all know what happened next.) I mean, the moment Shockblast declared to the universe that he would control Unicron, we had the same reaction as Inferno ("Hm? Aren't they on the same side?) when he overheard said declaration in Episode 25.

Shout out to whoever designed the Cyberverse (cartoon) Tiny Turbo Changer shockwave who turns into his drones that scale with the Cyberverse Deluxe so you can have his little drone army 😍. @ The reasons you love the Tiny Turbo Changer Shockers is similar to why I liked those beast weaponizers from ROSB. You know, the ones that were just beast modes that would turn into weapons for Deluxes? I love them because, if we’re going by original beast wars, they’re the only in-scale maximal son comparison to Autobots on the market. It’s easy to forget, but Primal would essentially be targetmastee sized.

my original dotm shockwave ive had since i was a kid, hes been dressed up for halloween, gone so many places, i love the bastard. his sword and entire gun arm have been mising for over 5 years now, i kinda wanna get a new complete one but i cant ever fully replace my original one. right now he has a frankensteined together arm to replace it, its freakish and great. combiner wars shockwave is also great, i made an adapter to put him on titans return blitzwing's tank turret and it rocks. my brother made a custom alternators shockwave out of buzzworthy silverstreak for me this year, i cherish that thing

Not sure if you’re familiar with but mostly Star Wars Black Series. I just finished my kitbash/revamped Bad Batch Echo, a shadow shoretrooper, an ARC pilot with blue camo paint scheme a few days ago. I’ve been working on a cyberpunk figure with leftover parts from Marvel Legends, GIJoe and Overwatch. My next project will be repainting Legacy Metalhawk so quite a lot 🤣

I’ve been thinking about it a lot, especially for Devastator and Menasor since they get requested a lot. If I did a list for Combiners, I would focus almost entirely on combined modes, and would only give a little attention to individual bots. I would give more focus to individuals in their own videos. My first combiner video will be Devastator. I want to wait until we get full-painted prototype pics of SS86 Devi first, though.

A 3P one that was not included I feel the need to mention is the FOC shockwave made by Second Chance. Planet X basically killed Second Chance. Second Chance made a FOC Optimus, and Planet X forced theirs out ahead of schedule to beat them. Then when second chance made shockwave they did the same thing again, and killed the company before it had any chance to get off its feet. Their toys are really cool, I have their Optimus, I’m yet to find shockwave but I’m hoping to get him soon.

I only know about them because I bought their Optimus at TFcon when I was like 13. I don’t think I’ve actually ever met anyone else who knows the company. And thank you! My best friend is an artist, she made the pfp for me (well, she drew Grand Convoy for me actually for a larger piece of artwork, I added the USA flag)

Ummm, did I miss Shackwave from Radio Shack? Lol as I watched this again I did miss it. I got 2 when I was working at Radio Shack my boss said throw out that old crop in the corner. If you see things of interest "make it gone." ... unless it's bread and butter parts. Well there was 2 brown boxes of intest. The boss had no idea what they where and said again "Make them gone" and the 2 boxes went to my car. They said Decepticon Shackwave on them. So I thought This was 2004 I don't think that this is them in the boxes but felt like something is in the boxes. So I took them home. I know ShackWave was around 1985 or 86. Witch that knight I said OK I'm popping the tape. I know if its true there is a MISB inside each box.. Thats when I became the owner of 2 MISB ShackWaves from the G1 toy line. Later mid 2022 I found in a clearance bin at a Toy'R'us mini store inside a Macy's of all places. I found ( and still don't know why it was there) , was a MISB Shackwave from Siege... but $10 later it was mine. Latter at Target, not even 3 hours later. I Found Siege Shockwave on a sale for $19.99. Well with a grin to the Register and to the Jeep I went with Shockwave. Heading home laughing the hole way thinking that I have 2 old ShackWaves MISB 1 new ShackWave MISB and 1 new ShockWave. Lol ... Now I could open the New Shockwave and put him with my collection. The other three will go on the MISB shelves .

That's not the Nemesis, it's Galvatron's ship the Revenge from the 86 movie. Probably not the best thing for a Shockwave to turn into, given that Unicron crushed Shockwave with his bare hands during his attack on Cybertron and gave Galvatron the Revenge ship in the first place.
