Barrel pumps are very handy, especially for the large 200 litre/50 USG type. We use them for storing water, gasoline and Diesel fuel mainly, which brings me to my point: if you keep more than one type of liquid on hand, it's not a bad idea to have a separate, dedicated pump for each type, and to label the pump at least 2 ways. We've adopted the colour convention that usd to be standard for jerry cans - red for gasoline, yellow for Diesel, blue for water. Each pump is painted in the colour, and the word "water" or "gas" or "Diesel" is put on with a paint marking pen. (Those can be bought from welding supply stores for less than $2 each, and they paint in them is very durable). Of course, you can adapt that to match whatever colour scheme you're using.

THANK YOU THANK YOU! I have tried to think of every idea and called everyone, litterally trying to find a syphon that will work for me. TADA you solved it! I live in an apartment and the tub here is terrible. Misshaped too shallow, too long etc. Its a new bldg. Anyway, Ive had an inflatable tub and they are nice! Yes. I have been trying to figure out out how to drain the tub in to other tub drain. You have done it. I obviously love my baths to soak

Great idea. My good syphon, (the same as your red one), wore out so I've been trying to use one of those shaker hoses which is hard to start. I'll use the 'stick' off of the old syphon to attach to the shaker hose.

Hi Kathy. Just watched your video - brilliant! I live in the UK and have just purchased the shaker siphon. A totally new concept to me and it didn't include instructions. I couldnt get the thing working until I watched your video on youtube. Cheers. Take care and all the best. Miles. 👍.
