if i had 56k to spend, then i'd easily go with the kia since it has the most performance and looks the part, but since i don't have that money to spend, then i'd really go with the camry since its such good value for money. Holden is just dreaming thinking that anyone would pay that money for that commodore...

I think that the commodore didnt get enough of a chance here... it has all of the features meantioned on the stinger! And more! Having actually driven one of these cars they are a hoot to drive! I actually people have a drive of this car before they judge.... disgusted that aussies have abandoned holden so quickly , it's not built here but the brand is still an icon trying to make cars for aussies as best as they can.... HOLDEN ALL THE WAY

LOVE the looks of the Camry. Love the fact it's now a fun car to drive. The interior is very stylish and for value it can't be beat with its power and features. I like the Kia because it's RWD and turbo but other then that not sure it will age well

Very good review and in the end, a very difficult choice. The heart is saying Stinger, the head is saying, the Camry is $18 000 cheaper and will be very reliable. The new err Commodore and Superb also look good, but, OMG I think I just picked the new V6 Camry!

Millen Rogers holdens were not always commodores though , the commodore badge was born in around 1978 before that they were kingswoods , premiers etc ...so commodore when you think about it really was not that iconic

Might want to check some of your info only the Commodore and Skoda were flagship models, the Stinger is mid spec and the camry is 2nd from top. Still the mid spec Stinger knocked off the VXR imagine if you forgot about price and tested the GT model. Oh I've driven the Stinger a few times and never found it tail happy, oh and the Commodore wasn't built in Melbourne it was built in Adelaide.

NZ police just picked the skoda to replace the commodores, pretty sure all these were in the tested models (other than the zb obviously), and apparently even the drivers preffered the superb over the others overall.

Its an honest review, however, I think you guys were a bit lax on the Kia Stingers interior and a bit harsh on the Commodores interior. I mean the gauge cluster in the Stinger is terrible, its direct from the Optima, also low down there is plenty of hard plastic. It's​ a great effort but not the best interior in the line-up. I'd actually put it last in terms of quality and the Supurb would probably come first.

They always talk about sportiness. Most people also want comfort, and quietness, or if the engine sound is a good one. Like how people buy the Gt86/brz and then they're for sale soon after because they got bored of the sportiness due to more noise and bumps that come with non luxury sporty vehicles...

Yes Kia look clearly on top of those comparisons but however who will pay that much money like 63-65k to buy Kia stinger for fun and no driver license points left after a year. Resale value and liability plus lowest cost, still really powerful V6 so i will pick Toyota Camry this time among those. Good looking car and when you foot down on new camry v6, ohhh fwd make the job done easy with plenty horsepower there, test drive and feel yourself. I thought Kia will not sale a lot Stinger with that much cost that why we have this reviews to compare, still support Caradvice.

In Europe, the Commodore WXR ( Insignia GSI here) has the same engine used in the Astra OPC/Astra WXR, but slightly down tuned to 260hp, with same torque, @ 400nm. The Kia Stinger would be useless during the winter, alot!!! of wheelspin and tail happy as hell!!😩

None of them should be compared to the Commodore or Falcon, They don't come with anything more than the VF-2 and there is way less room inside them. Yet the price is around the same as a Calais V, Doesn't make sense, we are paying the same money for Smaller cars!!!! So when you look at $$$ for what you get, then you may as well stick with the Camry, it has everything(maybe less power) but is WAY CHEAPER than the others.
