It's a dilemma, no it's all in your head sweetie ! If there's an intonation problem it's your clarinet not the barrel. What a pretty lady. 😊

You should play with stock clarinet's barrel at the end of the video to see the difference..

11:03 Maybe If you'd put even lighter reed you could play more relaxed on the 3rd barrel?

You sound good on them. You choose an stick to you as all this can be a mine field! Best wishes with your playing. I think Seline you’ll do well on whatever instrument you play on you’ve got a God given gift. Do what you feel comfortable on I’ve certainly enjoyed your playing during this lockdown or is it lock up? Sorry Bond English man’s joke! God bless you may you be successful and also enjoy your career- Bill - UK

Dearest Selin, I love your videos. They are very GOOD, EDUCATIONAL and HELPFUL. Can you talk about your Privilege clarinet ? how it compares to your Signature and other clarinets you have tried .....i recently purchased a Selmer Presence which i like, but i still have the sound and the feel of the Privilege in my head.....Also what can you say about double lip? ......Your faithful FAN .....Roy

buzzytpt hello dear Roy, you read my mind. I just talk to some other clarinetists and they also asked me about my Privilège so the next comparison video will be about it for sure 🤩 thank you for your interest, stay tuned⭐️

Pps I use Seline On the R 13 Clarinets The Moba barrels but I also Play Peter Eaton Elite instruments and I would never dream of using any other barrels than the ones he makes which are fantastic for the instrument. I’m sure you will make a wise choice for yourself. Bill

Dear Selin is Backun make different shape inside (hole shape) made specifficaly for Selmer or Buffet Crampon or can you use it for both?
I got these barrels from one of Backun's sponsors and we contacted Backun together to ask if it'd fit etc. But yes, they make different barrels as far as I know. I can give you his contact if you need to ask about it :)

One barrel can't be used for all systems. Selmer clarinets are different in design, and a specific barrel must be used for Selmer. (Also, for hi-end Selmers like Privilege, all clarinet parts are hand-picked and paired.) Or else, there will be problems with intonation, tuning, tone stability, resistance, etc. This video demonstrated all of these problems.
@jimis31674 жыл бұрын
Those 3 Backun barrels are all 65mm??? You currently use stock barrels: 65mm in the winter and 66mm in the summer???
@zvonimirtosic61713 жыл бұрын
A good lesson in this video: when it comes to hi-end clarinet models, with parts specifically paired, user can't improve on them (or swap parts randomly) without throwing the instrument out of balance. A player can't "improve" on Selmer Privilege, Buffet Tosca, Privilege lines etc.: they are the results of decades of manufacturing expertise. Improvements with parts swap are done on student and middle-range instruments, nice old clarinets (that have no more parts available). For such clarinets Backun products can be great. But if you break Selmer Privilege or damage your Tosca, don't fix it at home with third party spare parts: get a new instrument.

Have you ever tried Marca premium reeds? Do you like them better than V12s?
I never tried them. I prefer staying with vandoren mouthpiece+vandoren reeds
@jimis31674 жыл бұрын
@ I'm gonna try one when It finally ships(I think It'll take quite some time(Australia to Greece...), I've heard good whings about Marca reeds so, that's why I ordered one premium, It's like the shape of V12...

Georgia Antza I also heard once that Gonzalez reeds are the best... I tried... not the best for me 😅 I don’t like to change materials too much since I got my new clarinets, because I’m happy with my set up :) but if you think you need something better it’d be worth trying 💕

@ I've also tried a Legere european cut 3.50 on my BD5, It was meh! I'll exchange It to a signature series 3.50 which I'll be able to try with M/O ligature,(I couldn't put M/O on european cut reed cause It's very wide..)

Yeah.. their stuff is just too weird in terms of intonation and blending for me. At one point I really wanted to like their stuff but just didn't work for me on any clarinets.
Yes! they did a really job with their clarinets and materials, but how I don't know if they really match the other brands!
@zvonimirtosic61713 жыл бұрын
Depends what instruments you play. If you think you can improve on higher-end clarinets., then forget it. Higher-end clarinet models have parts specifically paired, they are like finely tuned sports cars - player can't "improve" on them without throwing them out of balance. You really must work in *clarinet manufacturing* for decades to be able to "improve yourself" such models.

@BennyGoodman19774 жыл бұрын
Aller,bonne continuation😉
