A little tip for when you start getting deeper in the mine is to bring cherry bombs with you because they only need 4 copper ore and a coal to craft and they can clear out a section of stone if you are in a hurry to find the ladder. They definitely make it easier in the 80+ levels where the copper pickaxe takes 3 hits to break a stone.

Tip: if you hold down right click on your mouse you can hover over crops around you to more quickly pick them up. So run into a patch of harvestable stuff and just hold right click around you to grab it all faster, saves time. Also making granny like you is very helpful as she gives you a special pot that lets you grow stuff indoors all season.

For anyone new to Stardew, I would like to say there is an easier way of completing the mission of getting Lewis's shorts. [If this has already been stated, I apologize.] Method: Make a set of stone stairs and put them in your pants slot on your character. The stairs should become Lewis's shorts. If you wear them around him, he will react in a very funny way. You can give him these shorts and complete the quest without getting into Marnie's room.

For hardwood what i did is cleared out the lower area of my farm that im not using and made it into a Mahogany Farm. After planting a bunch of the Mahogany seeds you just forget about them for a while then you will have about 20+ trees growing that shot seeds all over the place. As the seeds grow you chop down the full grown ones and youll always have enough hardwood whenever you need it by just chopping down the full grown ones when you need them. Edit: You can also do this for your Taps. Make 1 row of each type of tree i did about 5 trees. Put taps on each tree and every few days i go harvest it all.

Mayonnaise machines and cheese presses are definitely something you want to get more of for winter. I made 4 cheese and 4 mayonnaise a day and got something over 3k (i forgot the exact number) without any crops. So since you can't grow anything in winter anyway but the cows and chickens keep producing, that'll really help you keep an income up
