very good to see even Louis "fail" yet learn all the time. Thats the template I need to follow. great video.

Confused as to whether you don't know you just insulted yourself because you don't know the meaning of that phrase, or if that phrase means something different where you are from, or if you're just being self-deprecating 🤔

Either way: congrats on beating Louis at climbing

Those slomo shots from above showing Louis ping off the black crimp are amazing. Also I agree having patience is essential when projecting a hard climb. But I think Louis's never ending enthusiasm is what makes him such a strong climber.

Louis telling me I deserve a pastry just as I'm gulfing down my delicious "pain au chocolat with pistachios and almonds" while watching his video😄 . The problems looked awesome but also incredibly hard !

Good to see Louis working hard for a problem. The patience thing is really important. I tend to do the same things each time, either convince myself something is hard and don't fully commit, or hammer away at it, not really gaining much ground and just getting tired. Some challenging probs on the local wall at the moment, trying hard to project them with comittment, but with patience and a bit of self care..some great lessons in this vid, nice one Louis.

Absolutely love the intro. I was waiting for it to be a gopro and just drop and fall to the ground lol. Fantastic camera work. Sound is good, but is it just me or is Louis' lapel not picking up as well as usual? That black climb, definitely deserved a two-sided shirt of one side "Fall Of More" and other side "Try Hard Have Fun"

I think also the music over him talking made it hard to follow
@chrisembryclimbing2 жыл бұрын
@@roxannejoncas I watched on my phone with earbuds and my laptop and the music wasn't bad, but the volume level of Louis in particular, quality and ambient room noise was more than usual, but still not bad. Just not the level of production we're used to. Still was able to follow easily.

Apologies on that one! The LAV broke on a fall and wasnt noticed until the edit and spent about 3hrs trying to fix as much as we could!

Hi, I hope you get to answer this message - I am traveling to London next week, and would love to go climbing where you, Hanna or Josh are climbing, or even - just hear about some recommendations - I only boulder. Regardless of that - thanks for the content - its great as always!

I was thinking the yellow logos on the volumes for the super difficult climb were hand holds and I was so perplexed as to why you'd not use them until the time you sent it and I realized they are, in fact, logos. 😂

For the black M4 climb, have you tried jumping from your right hand on the crimp instead of your left? Then you won't have to do a weird swing with your arm into the jump for momentum... Looks hard:)

@JamesClimbs2 жыл бұрын
Real answer: 1. Encourages downclimbing to get twice as much time on the wall, improving technique though different body positions and saving knees. 2. Push ups train antagonistic muscles to the ones usually worked by climbers, makes you a better well-rounded athlete.
@carsythe2 жыл бұрын
I used to always downclimb out of fear. But recently Ive been trying to jump more to get practice falling. I figure Ill be less likely to hurt myself if i get some muscle memory for how to fall. Though my knees are pretty bad so thats now something to consider.

Could you please shoot wider angle? I'm trying to watch your form to learn technique. Please show the climbs in greater detail so we know what holds are you working with before you get on the climb. Please also aim the camera higher to show the next hold you are going to, before you make the move, while also not cutting off the feet. These videos are fantastic resources for us newbies/intermediates. Thank you so much.
