How to climb like Ned. 1. Climb consistently for 25 years 2. Now, you climb like Ned. Maybe.

Haha that’s the way!

been to TCH recently, only a v2/v3 climber but its cool to see you and Ned make these boulders ive seen and felt in real life look so easy! sick video
@JoshRundle3 жыл бұрын
Oh cool TCH is such an awesome gym! Ah thank you, I think it might have been more Ned than me making it look easy 😅. Thank you 😊

THANK YOU Josh! Very informative and that boulder session look so powerful. 5 fingerboards a week, ok I guess it has to be on the lower intensity

Thank you for watching 😊. Ned is an amazing guy who is so knowledgeable about climbing and training. Ha yea it was a tough session trying to remotely keep up with him 😅. Yea I think he changes it up, so every session is different

i feel like every time i almost improve, i get injured, or have some other health problems. I have just given up improving now, and just climb when i can. Climbing the same grade i did when i started climbing is frustrating at times, but at least i climb =)
@JoshRundle3 жыл бұрын
Ahh that’s really tough. Sometimes I think the nicest part of climbing is the movement, no matter what the grade. I can imagine that being frustrating, I really hope you get less injured from now on!
@SnowmansApartment3 жыл бұрын
@@JoshRundle yeah, one problem i had was that climbing in the same gym for years made the movement somewhat repetitive, so instead of focusing on improving, i‘ll now just focus on climbing in different gyms and areas. :)
@JoshRundle3 жыл бұрын
That’s a really good idea, trying different moves and new climbs always makes you a better climber 😀

I just ripped my bicep for the second time climbing as soon as I was coming up on some big projects. I too feel that everytime in my life I get close to something, something rips or breaks. Fuck it. It grows back. Anything you truly, truly want in life takes sacrifice, almost like a ritual. Stay strong🤟
@alexgalays9103 жыл бұрын
The only big finger injury I got was when I always went to the same (small) gym. It's very bad. Different gyms have different holds and movement styles. Keep at it, your body might be a bit weak for your grade right now but it will get better.

Hip flexibility is extremely important for heel hooks. You can’t just go out and do them if you lack the flexibility.
@JoshRundle3 жыл бұрын
That’s true, that’s probably one of the reasons Ned is so good at them!

Love the videos mate, I'm just getting into bouldering myself at the minute and your content is so well made and really entertaining to watch! Don't stop making them and I'll be sure to keep watching them :) Also get Sam in a video, I want to see that boy climb (said he's better than you).

How do you manage skin? That's the main benefit for me right now, fingerboarding doesn't cost any skin
@JoshRundle3 жыл бұрын
I don’t have to much problem with my skin to be honest but I use Elizabeth Arden and climb on which seems to be super great and rhino ski is great too.

Love that you call it a "splatter board" - in Australia we call it a spray wall! Great video mate, some really good info here.
