That’s what a normal dance is. Dance moms was not a good representation of actual competitive dance. Normally you only have one or two dances that have a « lead » (a person that gets lifted bc they are small)

These girls are amazing dancers, with great technique. I’m a competitive dancer myself and competed at show stoppers to. One thing I really wish I saw tho were facials. All the girls had so much control but with some facials this dance would be flawless all around and not just in technique. But you guys are so fluent and look great on stage ❤️

Murietta isnt a Canadian studio. Although there are many amazing highly competitive dance studios here in Ontario (Canada) like Danceoloogy, Expressions, Performing Dance Arts, Joanne Chapmans and of course my former studio, the BEST OF THE BEST... CDC (Canadian Dance Company)!!! and many others. Also where Tate McRae trained in Edmonton. I also went to a school for the Performing Arts (theres quite a few here) where half ur day is spent on dance or theatre, art, music.... of course I chose dance.

There's a lot of hype around the Royal Family dance crew, and I'm not saying there shouldn't be (P.S I love Parris Goebel), but we are seriously sleeping on the Murrieta Dance Project. Their performance to This Bitter Earth by Dinah Washington is one of the best group dance performances I can find on KZbin. They are girls that do not rely on being sexy or sensual in performances but rather focus on the story they are telling and they deserve more respect.
