I’ve spent 6 weeks in my 10x10 flex bow in the last 18 months. I like it more than my apartment.

Great take on the safety issue. I have seen Flex Bows that have had stoves added. I never considered the snow load and wind. Yea, makes perfect sense.

@@TheMelissaSeed I didn't put the price since prices and sales change, but in the description you can click on the link and quickly see them. The prices as of this posting are 749 for the 10x10, 949 for the 12x12, and 1149 for the 12x16. The add-on room is 459.

Yes, I like that the link actually takes to where you can see and everything is there to compare if you really wanted to have opinion and have it all laid out for you vs not actually watching the video cause I know how people are now a days they just jump to to link thanks again and don't stop making these good videos they help me every time i go to think about a new tent

Does the bigger ones have to have the center pole if you arent expecting anything excessive? Believe my kids might knock it over playing around

Great question. I personally don’t put it up if there is no wind or rain/snow. With that in mind the manufacturer does say it should be up as part of the normal structure.

Really enjoy all of your videos. Question is when planning overall size of tent “area” how many feet would you add to the footprint for guy lines. For example the 12x16 is actually a __ x __ footprint. Thanks!
@Competitiveedgeproducts8 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoy the videos. We appreciate the feedback. I try to give myself 4 extra feet around the sides for those guy ropes and about 6' for the front and back guy ropes.

Thank you Charlie! Do you have a video on how to pack up a 6170 Kodiak tent plus the awning?
@Competitiveedgeproducts Жыл бұрын
Good question. I'm sorry, I didn't do a video on how to pack up the 6170, but I did one on packing up the 10x10 and it's identical the way you fold the tent. However, you have to remove the awning as it folds up separately and I haven't come up with an impressive way to fold that up - I really just wing it best I can folding it up and it seems to work okay. The tent has to be folded up in a way that the canvas is touching canvas and the vinyl is touching vinyl. Even if you wipe off the bottom of that floor with a towel (assuming you didn't use a tarp) you may still have a tiny bit of moisture on it so it's best to make sure the vinyl isn't touching the canvas. If you're sure it's 100 percent dry then it doesn't matter. Here's the video at the time stamp showing the take-down. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2HclIJ8aqd2ibM

canthe add on room be a stand alone shelter like a seperate cook shack, or does it have to be erected adjacent to the tents?
@Competitiveedgeproducts Жыл бұрын
Shoot. I wish I would have addressed that in the video. I always forget something. :) They cannot be standalone I'm sorry to say. They require the tent side to attach to and stay up: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyWoGOVZdqZn9E

I’m torn between a 10x10 and 12x12…. I have a nuway 4000 probabe chimneyed stove. There is three of us I was going to go a disc o bed bunk bed cot and one single cot in L shape. I worry the nuway stove would be to small for the 12x12 we are not really hang out in the tent type people but woukd like a very small table for a coffee and two chairs even if we collapse the chairs at night. We’re up in Canada and can get down to -25 c camping. I’m wondering if you would recommend the 10 or 13 with that propane heater my wife likes to be warm over space, thoughts?

@blackcopperadventures19836 ай бұрын
@@Competitiveedgeproducts got the 10x10, the cabelas Xl cot and XL disco bed bunks fit in a L shape absolutely perfect, and extra inch or two would be nice but fits perfectly tight. And the arctic oven propane stove keeps the 10x10 t toasty on mountain spring mornings

You can't connect two 12x16's together. However, you can use two add-on rooms at once for the most square footage - 12x32.

The link in the description titled "Pricing and availability" will take you to the landing page that shows the price of all three. If I were to say the price in the day of inflation we would get a lot of complaints if people saw a higher price after clicking on the link. I should have said that pricing and availability is in the link. Sorry about that.
