Lol I remember I was sharing a dorm with my 2 friends and one of them brought marshmallows. We didn't really have anywhere to put them so we put them on the windowsill. When they came in for the room inspection, the curtains on the window just happened to be closed. The teachers opened the curtains to look and they saw the marshmallows and then they kept going on about how funny it was that we were hiding it from them. We weren't. We knew we were allowed to bring snacks and just put them there and the curtains were coincidentally shut when they were doing the room expection. Later, they talked about their experiences with the room inspections in a lighthearted and funny way. They mentioned things like going into rooms and witnessesing some of the boys being crazy or going in and finding mess on the floor etc but then they mentioned how they saw marshmallows being hidden away and they wouldn't stop going on about the hidden marshmallows even after the trip was over. We weren't hiding them!

@@I-make-edits-of-pjo Wow well that really sucks 😕 We were allowed to vote who we wanted to stay with so if you'd planned to stay together, you could all vote to stay with each other and it was very likely you would be sharing a dorm together I'm assuming you probably didn't have that but it really sucks that out of everyone you could've been sharing with, it was them With that and everything else, I guess you just won the bad luck lottery. I hope you at least enjoyed the activities and were able to spend time with your friends then.

On my residential trip, we stayed in a really old manor, and we thought that it was haunted. There were several thumps on the ceiling at like 11 at night, and for some reason we were all frightened, (all being me and the three other girls in my room, and the room of 6 next door). We told the teacher about it and she sat all 10 of us down in 1 room to tell us it was just the kids upstairs, but we weren’t buying that. Apparently the room next door saw a boy running around the street, then he disappeared. One of the smallest girls was physically shaking, and we begged to all be able to sleep in one room. We asked our leading teacher, and they said no and told us to go back to bed. But, the teacher who comforted us did allow me and the other girls in my room to sleep on the floor together with our duvets. We hung one across the top bunks do it was like a canopy and tried to ignore the noises. But at around midnight, there was a really loud thump, bigger than the ones before. That was the point we burst into tears and then cried ourselves to sleep. The next morning, we branded it ‘The big bang’, which made it more of a joke than something to be scared of then. The next day we slept in the floor again, but the bangs went on. We did have a teacher opposite us (not one of the ones mentioned before), but we grabbed a flashlight we bought from the gift shop and used it as a microphone for my friend, who made her own kidzbop versions of popular songs. The teacher mentioned obviously heard us, but she didn’t say anything. She was such a sweet woman, she would always check in on us, and didn’t care if we weren’t asleep past Curfew as long as we weren’t doing anything dangerous. Another little thing is the boys from our class on the other side of the manor would kidnap people and bring them to their room to clean, and thy would be payed in tango bottles. There was also a ding-dong-ditcher that appeared when we came back in after our final activates. We were running down the corridors, laughing and screaming, trying to find this person. We got told off and sent back to our rooms, but it remains one of the happiest memories of my life.

at my resedential i remember me and my friends we built a suitcase tower and jumped on to it- at 4 am in the night and we also sang Bloody Mary in the toilets at 3 am the at 2 am we had a roast battle and we pulled the fire alarm 😂😂 then at 1 am we knock ditched the other room (which was also filled of friends) and they came as a tribe into our room and threw out suitcases so we grabbed my water bottle and chucked it on the floor and then we exchanged sweets and crisps lol

TRUE STORY: When i went last year to robin wood in north yorkshire my dorm was called moths then at like 2am i farted in the toilet it echoed in the bowl of it i was a bit embarrassed but when i went back in the room my fiends india and bella they said was that you and i said yeah i tooted my booty off in a high pitched voice then all the girls in the room laughted their heads off the. Drove from Ipswich to Southampton then went on a ferry to the Isle of Wight. On the first morning, we were given cereal. I looked over at the teachers: full English breakfast. Mobile phones were for pictures only, so we had to remove the sim card from the phone. (Me and my bros played orbia on my phone though). The pool in the hotel was closed. Other than that, we had a great time. There was a small disco in the hotel, there were "downstairs nights", where we got to sit and interact with one another and we even got to play fetch with the hotel owner's dog.

Oh my god this brings back so many memories XD Thanks for reviving my trauma of the time a residential worker pushed me off the bungee jumping thing (not like an actual shove), I got geared up and everything but when I got to the actual part where I had to jump I was just pleading to skip and the guy just kinda nudged/shuffled me off the edge (note: I was not a bad kid or was acting out, I have Autism and thus stuff is scarier for me). IE: We had to do two caving trips, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, I braved the morning one and legit was scared about the small space and getting stuck (I was a big kid, there was a legit fear there). So I asked if I could sit out the caving for the afternoon (teachers were not happy about it), but one teacher just decided they would stay with me and wait for everyone to finish the caving. I didn't hate the residential trips, I loved em a lot and tried out everything I could. I didn't complain or whine, and again I was a good kid and one or two teachers understood me, a lot were just very pushy which I don't think helped XD.

My residential was damn chaotic. Firstly, most of the boys were going around and ding-dong ditching the girls and then I think cause a fire hydrant to fall onto the ground. Then on the first night, a boy (yes again, they're probably the band of the trip,) decided to come up with a myth of a man just waiting outside then cabins, which made one of the girls get terrified. On the last day, nearly everyone in my room played bloody Mary, and omg that made me so paranoid back then, even though they did it in daylight hours.

You should another Resdendal where a someone in the form is snoring really loud and everyone else can't sleep and the other dorms can here it and it is real snoring and everyone else gets annoyed at it and the teacher hears them shouting and says to try to sleep through it and someone else has bad homesick

When I went to Whitehall in Year 5, I remember everyone in my dorm (there was about 12 of us) put our sweets into a draw so we could share them all out at midnight. Only about 3 ended up staying up that late (not including me who told them to get tf in bed) I also retrieved my sweets lol 😅
