Only things I would do differently: I would put the floor supports on concrete footers. You can buy them individual ones at Home Depot, keeps everything off the ground. Here in Florida I also sunk concrete blocks and filled them with cement andput in straps to help hold it down. Last I would put a vapor barrier [plastic] between the floor supports and the ground. Mine has been around for 13 years and went through a hurricane.

i think it depends on where you are!! if i'd live in an area where strong winds are common or hurricanes can happen i'd go with your way, concrete base all the way, but in places like where i live it's unnecesary since there's not even strong winds!! you'd be amazed by how firm this things are

This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things kzbin.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

You did a really simple, good job. The walls and roof match the full cuts of siding. The most tedious part of the building is roofing. I would go with a metal roof. I built one similar, however as I got into it my wife gave me several change orders like 1. two windows and a skylight 2. A steeper roof pitch for a loft 3. a front porch 4. drywall inside. 4. lastly 4' longer. My weekend project turned into a summer project

Right. I don't get why they call those commercials "advertisements" when they are just as long as, if not longer than, an actual video. Those are videos, themselves, if not infomercials. Not just "ads." We could pull up an actual video that's 15 seconds long, but the ad is eight minutes long. It makes no sense.

@@welcometobangkok8220 But you still see how to do something on a large scale in less time video wise, and it's more useful of a craft than most of the contraptions on 5 min 😆😂 can't even say I'm wrong on that one

I built a shed with these plans from Ryan [ Details Here?> *WoodBlueprints. Com* ] . The instructions were clear and easy to implement. Even a novice can be able to build fast using this plan. I'm happy I bought the plan. It also saved me much cost.

I've always tried to figure out how to build a shed for my kids. I tried several plans but always got stuck along the way. I'm glad I found this Ryan's shed plans [ Go Here >>> *WoodBlueprints. Com* ]. It has made the work become as easy and simple as I never thought it will be. Thank you Ryan!?

There are many factors in doing a pro job. One plan I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Wilfs Shed Formula (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the no.1 info that I have ever heard of. look at this awesome resource.

Dominik Wilson - The wood looks untreated, and it was never called treated lumber. Even treated lumber should not be installed on dirt. A few concrete stepping stones would be much better under the wood to protect the wood from insects and rot.

Barry Litchfield look at the color of the wood , it’s treated . Plus I won’t be scared to put treated wood on dirt ,it’ll outlast the years u will live trust me . No big deal . And in 50-75 yrs if other wood is still good u could replace em if u moved it

And the base rots away in a few years. Never put wood into the ground. Concrete piers are cheap and easy.
@MrBudcole
@MrBudcole 5 жыл бұрын
Actually, you can put it into the ground as long as you put gravel around and below the wood, and the wood is treated. Water destroys wood - any system that allows water run-off is no more damaging than rain or snow. I have a 12x20 ground deck that has been completely stable for over 15 years, and I put the support members into channels just like this example, except I added the gravel before and after.
