This video provides a guide for beginners on how to start a podcast. The first section covers equipment, with the recommendation to invest in a microphone for better audio quality, particularly a dynamic microphone that can capture good audio even in less than ideal recording conditions. The Samson q2u is recommended as a budget microphone that is flexible with both USB and XLR outputs. The Shure mv7 is also recommended as a step up in quality, but with the downside of a less effective pop filter. The Shure sm7b is the highest tier recommendation for podcasters, though it is expensive and only has an XLR output. The second section covers software, with the recommendation to use a digital audio workstation (DAW) for editing and recording. The third section covers hosting, with the recommendation to use a hosting service that offers analytics and distribution to major podcast platforms. The final section covers promotion, with the recommendation to use social media and guest interviews to gain listeners. Overall, the video provides a comprehensive guide for beginners on the essential equipment, software, hosting, and promotion aspects of starting a podcast. ----From Notta's video summarizer

They’re super similar in price, if you go with the equivalent model. I prefer the Vocaster because of its focus on ease of use & integration into the content creation process. Both are solid options !

Have a question I'm working on my podcast, and i want to go live without a video but i still want to do my introduction. Newscasters , talk shows all use clip on lavaliers or overhead mics and podcasters use mic's on boom stands. Why? I shoot on simple 3-way wireless mic's without stands. No clutter.

im having such a hard time to find the right microphone/audio solution for a 6 people just chatting stream (all sitting at a table, live). just had the blue yeti X (omni mode, but modes didnt matter in terms of actual quality tbh) and it is SO so bad, i cant even express how pathetic it is. i even bought another one cause i assumed the first must be broken. it wasnt. we also had a rode wireless ME setup which was okay, but pretty costly (~700€ in total). anyway. do you have any hint which mic i should look into? i feel like there must be a

A single mic setup for that many people is tough because it’s unlikely your voices will be going the same direction. I’d research what streamers with the closest setup to what you’re looking for are using.
