As always, a very nice video. Plus the backing track you use for showing the first four techniques over sounds great. Is that available somewhere?

Blamey man! Very comprehensive guide....I just thought I'd watch this at the end of my drawing session....now my head is really spinning! Very inspiring but also slightly depressing 😁 It will take me years to nail all that down... fuck me. I suppose some filtering is required to survive. Ciao e grazie 🙏 for yet another cool video.

Potresti fare un video del genere ma sulle principali scale moderne? Faccio molta fatica ad uscire dai soliti canoni e vorrei riuscire ad improvvisare qualcosa di più moderno, ma mi rendo conto di non avere "l'alfabeto" X farlo

Truly practical and helpful. Thank you. How do you set up your gear to have the same loudness for picked and hammered-on notes?
@_alreph7 ай бұрын
Probably a mixture of good technique and using compression

That first thump strike it absolutely annoying. I'll either miss the string or I don't get any sound but the up pick with the thumb and the middle finger pluck are ez. I just need to focus on that initial thump.

I'm pretty sure it has been used in jazz for quite some time

this is just ranting, you are not a teacher!

If you're going to critique other guitar players on the YT perhaps put some of your own guitar content on your YT page, show us how its done yes? ... otherwise stop leaving jealous narcist retortts, it really makes you look and sound pathetic. This guy is a fabulous player as well as he did an outstanding instructional here.

@@IshredGuitar he just rants about shit with no tabs no music notation no text no processes no actual teaching. just bragging about basic techniques

@@breakfasttouch I just wanted to respond to your comment once more as every now and again I run across a really negative comment like yours, as I too have had your type stop by my video's and so here is my message and advise. Just don't be a "taker" like so many guitarists out there these days. They roam the YT here nets looking to take whatever guitar knowledge and resources they can from those that offer their time. I call them "takers". Don't be like them! Be a "giver" like giving thumbs up or a positive supportive comment, in that way the universe will shine on you back. Put good energy out into the world and good things will return to you. Put negative energy out and you're then doomed negative energy back. Take it from an old fart, I don't think I'm all that on guitar, this is just life advise from a retired combat medic who has seen life cut short up close so many times I lost count. As far as my guitar journey, I too am always trying to get better, it's just I know these things about "universal karma" and they're real. In the past I too am guilty being a "taker" so just know none of us are perfect, this life is short, we're here and in no time we're all gone! Be happy dude, we got guitars, cool gear and one hell of a support network on the webs.

He's not bragging, he's an amazing player sharing knowledge with people for free. He's actively giving tips for it too. He doesn't need to give tab or notation, anyone who isn't a lobotomy victim can find something on their own. He's just showing how to approach technique.@@breakfasttouch
