I've never seen her before, but as soon as I saw her solo I realized that she had a classical background. That left hand technique, chord positions and shapes and those artifical harmonics. It's so rare to see a classical musician attempt to improvise, but it makes her solo very unique and beautiful. I loved it...

As someone who has never liked watching Marty Swartz's videos, because he usually only teaches the beginnings and basics of songs, his solo might have been my favorite. It was basic, but not simple, using scales that most beginners can play. But more than that, his timing was excellent. I think the others were trying too hard to play at the edge of their ability, to give you something you and your viewers would find impressive, while Marty tried to make and play something that sounds good. That makes a big difference. Marty spoke through his guitar, while the others made their guitar speak.

Her solo felt the most like there was a full song with lyrics and singing that went with this track. It’s the one I could imagine being on actual song track. I would say Josh’s second.

Rabea never disappoints...Joey's in a class by himself! Martin would totally make Brian May proud, Paul's solo shows just how far he's come as a world class guitarist in the past years! Jens is a freakin' riot!! "And I'm not even playing that amp!" Classic!! Josh's tone is magical! Then Ross comes up with an equally glorious tone! TASTY!!! Julia - beautiful as always! Marty nailed Mr. George Harrison's tone and phrasing. Totally retro. Mateus! What a blessing that dude is!! Kfir - who couldn't play with that sound for hours?? This was another great collaboration, Paul!! Inspirational!

I love Jens’s understanding for form and musical structure. While all others clearly articulated part A and B (B=when the song slows down) Jens made something I would call a “lead-in”. In classical music there is a similar idea to connect antecedent with the consequent. The ending Motiv of the antecedent in measure 5 is the beginning Motiv of the consequent. It’s called elision. Also I wanna mention Paul’s feeling for short repeating cool sequences, a pleasure to listen to. And Julia’s smooth alternating fingerpicking was great to observe. It was a great idea to make a collaboration like this Paul. With all these great guitarists and their different approach gives us an insight to analytical thinking. Great job, keep on going.

@@CrisCraig Have to agree. Then again, Miller's style is not very expressive in terms of micro tones, bendings, and hand approach. His vibrato is ok but run of the mill and the way he fills the 3 and 4 beats of the chords is kind of predictable. Still, a great player.
