Loved watching the entire “Whiskey Project”! I agree totally about having a plan. I did the same with my Fat Bob. Had a plan. Bought the parts. Then started the assembly. Sound advice for sure! Thanks for sharing!

Yes sir Kevin thats the only way to do it buddy....gotta have a pre plan or you just end up replacing parts that you already replaced to make things match later...its such a waste of money. Been there myself on a few projects..learned my lesson

I just bought my first bike ever , the 2016 Road Glide Ultra . The only none stock part was the screaming eagle slipons. Boy do I have alot to do . Thanks for sharing.

Hey thanks for checking it out, and enjoy the process! Get a plan and get one part at a time and just enjoy your bike...they are purchased to ride and enjoy however I find as much joy in looking for unique parts and just working on them. Its a huge experience so take it all in and do what you can do when the budget allows. Have a merry Christmas!

@@sikbaggers thank for the advice. I just purchased the tour pack quick release kit that includes the signal lights and docking plate for antenna . My bike has the 103 , can a stage up grade be done to a 103 or is it only meant for the newer motors. The bike does ok but takes some time to pass up cars on the highway.

yeah the 14 street glide video I shot was shot mess..we had so much going on that day we left out audio on a lot of the footage and I had to wing it...however we did a fork rebuild on the fat tire install on the RG video that is way more in depth...have you checked it out?

Hi Steve, Thanks to you I successfully changed my grips and added chrome switch covers. However, I purchased the chrome brake and master cylinder perch but I can't, for the life of me, find any videos on how to swap these out as it appears you have to contend with the fluid on the brake side. I have a 2021 RGS. Any help or even a video would be much appreciated! Thx

Hey man glad that video helped and I dont have one but will have one shorty on the softail ...it will explain alot and you can transfer that info over to the touring model...the 14 - 20 have a fluid clutch too so you got lucky when they went back to the cable in 21...only one line to deal with.

they are the same size, so i would imagine they would go right on....not sure why HD put the larger ones on the road glides anyway

no...its a direct fit piece from the bottom of the fairing to down around the oil cooler...if you lower it you cant install it

Nicely done project. Couple things I’ve noticed one there but didn’t make this list - who made the rider and passenger floorboards, brake pedal, and shift pegs? Really like the look (have a hunch they’re Thrashin) but want to make sure.

Great question Brian and I cant believe I forgot those lol So after ordering 5 different sets from amazon and none of them fitting I ordered the 6th set and its actually a pack of 4 ...there are tons of these grills on amazon and ebay but only these fit the hole. The others were too big. Like I said I waited on these because at the time I only neded 2 but they are 20 bucks for 4 so its not a bad deal and you ahve some back ups in case you dent one with your boot ...like i did lol amzn.to/33Ue74K

get this one...it fits several models...most listings dont show touring models because the seller just doesnt know...it actually fits a lot of models..this one says Sportster XL 1200 883 48 Softail Dyna FLST Road King...we know road king is a touring model so if it fits that itll fit yours..i have the black one and the chrome one on two bikes amzn.to/4bgwJsI

I bought the crown gas cap for my road glide....is it supposed to screw down into thr hole in the dash or sit on top when screwed on???...mine sits on top and doesn't screw on all the way.

depends on what dash you have..if its advanblack it will sit on top...no cap, not even the one that comes with it sits in the hole. thats just how its designed.

the tallboy seat is much more narrow at the top front and that will have gaps on the tank covers. both sides will have about a 3/4" or more gap

What highway pegs and mounting brackets do you have On the road glide? I'm thinking about upgrading my soundsytem on my 19 road glide I'm thinking prv 6.5" in front and 8" in the lids What recommendations would you make as far as amps?

well the highway pegs are just amazon pegs that I had laying around that were chrome. I had them powder coated when I did the rest of the bike and the pegs are Baddad 900 series...PRVs are a great choice, pair that up with a Sound Digital EVO X and youll be gold!

all the parts from advanblack are painted at advanblack and ready to install on your bike. The front fender was done locally and PPG was used.

not sure man..didnt do a before and after...its certainly much heavier but nothing that stops you from riding it...we wiped this thing through the hills of south dakota with no issues. A little bit of a bugger to back up lol thats about it
