Thank you for including a more mature client with a tiny bit of gray hair. More please. I am hoping to see someone with even more gray than natural color as that may truly tip the contrast & paradox between perhaps a warm complexion and cooler gray/silver hair.

It’s definitely regional - in Australia most stores carry summer colours for women. It’s so frustrating seeing window after window of muted/ pale/ cool toned clothing!

I'm Brazilian, half Italian and half German. I don't know if I'm true summer or soft summer. It's not even possible to find makeup for summers here. Even hair coloring in cool tones is rare to find. Brands simply don't sell cool colors here. I once bought a beautiful canary yellow blouse online and when I tried it on, it looked like I was sick. It is very difficult to find suitable clothes for summers here in Brazil. Your client is very very beautiful and you brought more beauty to her. Congratulations!

I love your suggestions of wearing a scarf when your outfit is not your best colour! I do this a lot with outfits that suit me well as far as cut and fit, but are a colour that isn't the best. Makes a world of difference!

Agree. We tend to believe that if person is very light and has almost zero contrast, they must suit pastels which are also light and soft. Wrong. This just confirmed that pastels would more probably suit a Summer with darker hair and higher contrast, that doesn't need 'punch of color' to 'lift' them, due to existing personal contrast. There are many Asian ladies who did their local CA and turned out to look stunning in pastels with their dark eyes, hair and light complexion. I would never put them into Summer and if so, I'd say Cool Summer for sure, since Light Summer has chroma, low contrast. Obviously not. Sometimes what's more harmonious works better, sometimes it's not enough and more uplifting, complimenting colors are needed. Nordic blond lady was typed Winter here which was amazing revelation.

My favorite thing about this is that you let her lead on the trickier palettes. I feel like she could have gone true summer or cool summer but she clearly felt better in the cool summer and cool winter and you were receptive to that. I was analyzed in a season where I really don’t like the colors and I’m trying to figure out if I can find one that suits me better in terms of colors on me and ones that I like. I would have loved this aspect during mine so it was lovely to see here!

British Isles is the perfect place for colour analysis of the original type. You've got all the European palettes present, naturally. Where I live, the native population are almost all Summer.

Wow. This is awesome, this woman look sooo much like my mother they could be sister honestly🥰😍maybe even twins. I think I’ll have to show her, her clone, as to what her possible color season might be. She has the exact same hair color, light with hints of white/gray and blue eyes within same color, same nose shape same hairdo and thicker hair type like this woman, same face shape, skin color. Soft features. My mom can pull off the colors like hot pink and turquoise much better than me while looking washed out in beige. Looks like those colors in the cool summer season. I think I may have helped her. She loves red and tend to wear a cooler type of red than tomato red. So thank you so much! This is so helpful to both of us❤

This was a really illuminating one where I felt she could have gone with a couple of the sub-seasons. At one point, I was even thinking ‘is she a winter’ because she could take so much chroma and not look overwhelmed! She looks great in so many of these colours - lucky lady!

Hmmm🤔 my first hmmm so far Sarah😂 ❤Ok but hear me out please: Her lightness is so obvious. It is more dominating then the coolness, even thou she is cool -we wouldn’t put her in a orange jumpsuit, obviously🤓 I’m a cool winter and my hubby is a (blueyed) cool summer, and I do know it is very individual and not just ”rules” - but what stuck with me is that Annes coolness is really not the dominating, striking characteristic nor the ”lasting impression” you get from her. I percieve her lightness as her most dominant impression, the lady is very light. I think the cool winter colors are way to heavy for her as a supportive sisterpalette😬🫣 maybe some of the lighter colors were not her favourites right now, but we can open up to new colors with time when we see what they do for us..they still harmonized way more with her skin and overall features, then the cool winter colors that overpowered her. She is so beautiful, reminds me of Julie Andrews😍. There you go, I expressed my first ever doubt love😂❤

I can understand how you arrived at that conclusion with her light features. However, we can't place a person in a sub season just by looking at them. I let the colours do the talking. If I had let me preconceived ideas influence the process, it would not have been objective. The light colours did not do much for her at all.

I try not to type anyone simply based on whether their hair is dark/light etc. Instead I let the colours do the talking. It removes any bias I might have on my side and I simply observe :) Glad you liked it :)

Great video as always! I think it would be really interesting to see an analysis on someone with acne or rosacea. I’m around the neutral range myself, but since I have some skin issues my face has a lot of redness in it while the rest of my body leans more yellow. I usually try to go on my "real" skin colour that’s on my body, but sometimes that means things will clash with my face. I know there’s colours that will reduce redness, but it would be very interesting to see how you would tackle it!

What is so interesting about this: as a "judge" in the audience I'm coming up with a different vision than the client. I think all the Blues except navy are "no," the deeper burgundy and the light peach (which she hates) "yes," all the greens "yes," and the one brown a definite "yes." That is where I see her looking gorgeous and glowy. Now I've got to go through my closet this way and judge myself. This is fun, thank you.

I'm also Cool Summer, albeit with darker hair. When I went in for my draping, I told her I had read a couple of books. She asked if there was any season I absolutely felt sure I was NOT and that was definitely Autumn. I'd mostly worn Cool Winter colors for several years and knew any warmth was hideous-making.

Not necessarily, it's just another option, particularly if someone likes the classic 'camel' coat, the taupe is kind of close :)

Personally I think she's between cool summer and light summer. Quite obviously cool but also a touch lighter than a proper cool summer as all of the winter cools look too heavy on her.

Cool Winters can still wear deep colours. Winter is part of the darker colour seasons so even if you are predominantly cool, some depth could work well, particularly if you have some depth in your hair or eyes or both :)

I had my colour analysis done in England and she used the colour me beautiful technique. She didn't use seasons and said I was warm, dark and clear. With predominant features being warm and golden. What do you think that means?
