Sir a doubt at 32:16. [Ni(H2O)6]2+ has green colour as it absorbs red colour light. Similarly, as we keep increasing number of en groups, CFSE increases, changing the absorbed colour from Red to Yellow, thus emmiting Blue colour. Am I correct in my approach?

Just a doubt sir.. In the question posted at 32:01, as the CFSE in the series keeps on increasing due to the introduction of strong field ligand by replacing weak field ligand right? So the absorbed wavelength keeps on decreasing, meaning the emitted wavelength keeps on increasing according to law of conservation of energy.. emitted wavelength is perceived as the colour of the complex salt.. so how come violet light is *emitted* from the crystal if it uses maximum energy to satisfy CFSE?
