When trading with leverage does it have to be on the futures market or can you do it on the spot market? Also, you set the leverage at 5x on the left hand side of your screen, but the buy order with stop loss etc was in the right hand column, if you placed that order would the leverage have been on the order or does it have to be added again seperately?

If you use 100x leverage and lose the trade, are you liable for that full price ? Say I used 200$ and went with 100x leverage, 200,000$, would you be liable for that? Or is your 200$ just gone?

@@jamesc4196 you would only lose the margin of your leveraged trade. Usually, you will set your stop-loss closer to your initial trade price compared to your take-profit. Which is why you need to have a significantly higher than 50% win-rate to be in profit, when you trade with leverage.

1 question regarding leverage. If i deposit 1000 dollars and leverage x125. Say I lose the bet, will I owe the website money, or have to deposit more to pay for my loss? Since 125 leverage is more than 1000 dollar loss, right?

If you use isolated on your leverage trade and if you lose the trade, you only lose the amount that you used! If you get liquidated! Don't use 125x leverage! Maybe 5 or 10x! 👍

So at what point are these "liquidated"? that's what confuses me. So if I have a $100 and do 10x leverage. That's $1,000. Do you get liquidated at $1000 and owe the exchange the money? or do they liquidate you and close it when the loss equals your original $100?

In the video, the example shows a price of 57650, a TP of 58250 and a SL of 57250. Would these values only work for a Buy/Long position? As I understand, if you enter a Sell/Short position, you want the price to go down, so wouldn't setting a SL at 57250 limit how much we gain?

So you've explained that you can make money by basically betting that the coin will go down. But how? If the price of a coin drops, where does the money come from to pay you on your "bet"? Is there someone on the other side that's betting it will go up and they lose their money to you? The money to pay you has to come from somewhere. And we all know that if a coin drops in value, there isn't a profit there to pay anything.
